Rocksalt

Food was good (small proportion) I ordered the prawn and scalp salad which was lovely but only 3 small prawns and 3 small scallops! The salad was Yum though. The wait staff were friendly and lovely! having said that the restaurant Manager who processed our bill as we were leaving, was very cold and unfriendly not just towards us but also towards other customers who were ahead of us too. His customer service and attitude ruined our experience, which is quite sad because the rest of the staff at the restaurant are friendly. I would have rated the restaurant a sold 4, but the manager who was rostered that day (Saturday) his customer service was unkind towards us and other customers in the restaurant.

They served a really burnt parma which I discovered under all that cheese and of course the sides which are noticeable. They should not have served it in the first place thinking they could cover it up! So I sent it back and in the mean time they offered a bowl of chips to munch on whilst waiting for another Parma to which I agreed to. When the 2nd parma arrived it was a little burnt on the sides but good enough to eat. Giving 3 stars is reasonable since they offered complementary chips whilst waiting.

We had dinner here Friday night. We had mushroom risotto chilli mussels. The specials eggplant lasagne home made vegetable soup. We all thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. The waiter was very attentive. Nice atmosphere. Every thing arrived hot from the kitchen. I would recommend this cafe to everyone who just enjoys each other’s company. You could hear each other’s conversations. A major factor in my books.
