Greene Turtle Restaurant

This is my first visit and I definitely want to come again! The food is delicious! The atmosphere is laidback and happy. The service is excellent! I had the blackened shrimp with penne pasta and Cajun sauce. It had mushrooms and tomatoes and shaved Parmesan and sliced green onions. Delicious pretzel bread sticks on the side. We had the crab dip with pretzel sticks. Excellent! The nine layer Smiths cake… you’ve got to taste it! Rashad was a very attentive and excellent server.

A few years ago, we visited here from out of state, we were in the area and wanted to get a bite to eat, was pleasantly greeted, and our server was so kind and sweet. She recommended maple syrup for our sweet potato fries and served us very well. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be eating here.

Our group was out for a ride on motorcycles when we saw the outdoor patio at the Green Turtle. We stopped for a drink and were pleasantly greeted and led to a table outside. The view was stunning. Our server, Cathy, was prompt, attentive, and extremely friendly. Even though we only had drinks, we heard from other diners that the crab cakes were delicious. When we left, we were given a kind send-off that included complementary Turtle stickers. We would definitely recommend the Green Turtle in Mchenry and will stop again when in town.

The Greene Turtle is a Bar Id trust to have quality food and drink at any location I go to. This location is a great example. Super friendly staff. Clean bar area where I sat and very clean bathroom. I wish that it was more busy. The only thing missing is the atmosphere of a lot of people having fun, but that should hopefully be helped with good reviews.

We love the green turtle!!! We ate there 3 times on vacation!!! The services was wonderful. One on the waitresses. I think her name was Wendy……was very helpful and understanding. Our son is special needs and sometimes loud noises can be triggering. She moved us right anyway from a table of 50 to a more private part of the restaurant. Thank you to everybody at the green turtle 🐢
