Forkless

We’ve had issues in the past from here, but decided to give them one more try, reading over reviews from other customers, it appears it’s reoccurring. Let’s start off with I understand and realize it was a Saturday nearing dinner time, so we expected a longer than usual delivery time, completely forgetting my near 1 hour wait for pick up last time I went there (I was told it would be approximately 25-30 minutes, wrong). After 1.5 hours of waiting, I called to check on our food, seemed to be that a child answered the phone, and they didn’t really know much of what was going on. After a few minutes of them searching around for our order, they found it, hadn’t even left the store yet. Finally, once I our food arrived, we weren’t even hungry anymore, it was completely inedible, soggy, and cold. Called the store and asked to speak with a manager, the man who answered the phone was apparently the manager, I got a “What do you want?” response. Kind of irritated at this point. Explained to him that I was in the service industry for over 20 years and you never send out food like that, you remake it or time it better. He claimed that he made it personally, gave me a time and that was 25 minutes before I even called, so by his own admission, he made our food an hour before we received it, which means it sat out at room temperature for far too long, perhaps a call to the health department should happen. I feel bad for the delivery driver, as he took the initial shot from me, apologized to him, as this is clearly a poorly ran establishment. The man did also try to talk over me a few times on the phone, and finally looked up my order and refunded my money. Never going to spend a dime in that direction again. Bring back Pete’s Pizza.

Had the A'z Craze pizza which was amazing. Lifting the pizza, I got a whiff of smoked meat. Upon first bite, it was an explosion of flavors (cheese, smoked meat, yeasty bread) and textures (soft and gooey from the mac n cheese, chewy and crispy from the meat, dense and crispy from the bread). Wonderful atmosphere too: Very friendly. Explained the options well. Fun decor. MN made soda was a cool touch. Will definitely be back.

Food is always pretty decent (on the greasy side if that bothers you, I don't mind) but you always have to wait twice as long as they say. Tonight, I chose to pick up their pizza for our movie night with our toddler. My two year old and I had to wait in the lobby for a half hour after the pickup time we were given. The kicker is that my wife wanted to go somewhere else, so they might have cost me rights to pick food for the near future. Also, for what it's worth, the chef had his mask hanging from his ear the entire time. All in all, the pizza is okay, but not good enough or cheap enough to make up for never knowing how long it will take.
