Huddle House

Food met expectation, server was friendly and attentive. Cooking area was not the cleanest. We were there around 2 on a Monday afternoon because Mexican restaurant next door was closed. It was not a busy time, and seemed like a great opportunity to wipe down the prep stations and grill area-- just kind of jumped out at you. I kept thinking isn't someone going to wipe that down, but then noticed that wasn't just the result of a busy lunch rush...the entire cooking area could use a good deep cleaning.

We were passing through from NY on our way to Florida and came across this cut little joint. It was tiny and did not have setting for 5. Good thing we didn't have all 5 kids making it then 7. It was fairly clean and just a few people on staff. The waitress was very friendly and kept making sure we were okay. The food was really good. It did take longer than out normal NY hustle but I was okay with that. Good food takes time. The food did not taste process or as if it was sitting in the freezer the last 10yrs. Thank you for a great meal and a great experience.

Food is very greasy with sloppy presentation. Maybe thats what they are known for but im not sure. I just know this was my first and last time going. We waited 10 mins to place our order and another hour to finally receive our food. They could've told us it was going to be a long wait and we wouldve went down the street to the waffle house. It was already almost 11 when we came in (truck drivers) so it would've been really nice for them to at least mention they were short staff or whatever the issue was. Horrible customer service smh. No apology, discount for the wait, nothing. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible and never again.
