First they made wrong order and then the pad thai was super sweet even if I told them to make it spicy. There was hardly any vegetable and dish was pad thai with vegetable.

House Fried rice is pretty good with generous amount of fresh shrimp. Their wings that everyone raves about were overcooked and their oil needs to be changed. Hot and sour was not sour and was over seasoned with pepper. Gen Chicken was very low quality freezer chicken with too much breading. The Gen Chicken sauce was good. I will not be returning.

Order and eat from this restuarant about twice per week. Always busy, and the food is so much better than other "fast food" type Chinese restaurants on the Northshore. This place has flavor and is fresh...unlike others I have tried. Soups are so good that I order quart size to eat over 2 days. BUSY...if you need a big order, don't expect it to be ready in 10 minutes. They cook everything fresh and give you a realistic time to pick up (usually within 20 minutes or so). Good price, great food!

The overall rating of this place was higher than most...around 4.2 so we tried it. Huge mistake. Yes, the food is really hot even if you get delivery. It's really poor quality meat. We are familiar with eating joints and "knobby bits" from whole chickens but this was different. It was more rubbery and didn't have any flavor. We won't be back.

Horrible. We came here based on the reviews. The wontons for the soup were all stale. The pineapple chicken was RAW. When I brought it to the lady’s attention. She tells me it’s not Raw. I showed her all the chicken out of the sauce. She still refused. The chicken was jiggly and rubbery. Looks like the cook did a quick flash boil and that’s it. If I could attach a picture I would.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Mandeville! Food is always hot and tasty. One facet that I also love is the attention to detail and online ordering. MUST try. Personal favorites are General Tso's (fried hard) and the house combination rice!

I love red apple by my house in Kenner. So when I came up here to the north shore to visit my family decided to grab a quick bite and what a mistake. First when I walked in it stunk... smelled like bathroom water. Ordered my food and the plate was small for $14! Three pieces of chicken and less than a handful of rice. The dumplings I also ordered where bland af. The dumpling sauce was basically soy sauce mixed with something spicy. Didn’t like it. Also idk if they were trying to save money on electricity or what but It was hot as hell. Went to wash my hands cuz they didn’t give us napkins and i saw the thermostat set to 85 degrees. Come to the south shore and go to a red apple and let them show you how it’s really done.

AVOID! BUG FOUND IN FOOD!
My husband just picked up an order from there. Our 1st time eating at this place. I found a BUG in my sweet and sour sauce!! We called to let them know, and we received a “thank you for telling us” and the person hung up. My husband called again to say it’s unacceptable and we wanted our money back. Whomever he spoke to (manage I suppose), said “ok, just bring the food back and I’ll credit you”. NEVER has a restaurant or fast food place in my life wants the food back once it’s left their establishment. That says A LOT to me. Gross! I made sure to put the food that was on my plate, along with the bug back in there to make sure 1) they see it 2) they will think twice about using our old food to give to someone else.
