Chicken Shack

We Ordered the SUPER For $50.99, and Asked if the Oil was changed recently because we like the Chicken and Potatoes a Golden Brown Color and Neli informed me that they have a Filtering System in where it gets Cleaned Everyday. I then Asked if She could make sure the the Ribs were Cooked to be Soft and Fall Off the Bones and a Side of Cole Slaw. We Picked up the Order 20 Minutes Later and it was HOT and took it Home and the Chicken was Crispy on the Outside and Tender on the Inside, the Ribs were Soft and Falling Off the Bones and Tasted Great, and the Cole Slaw was Fresh and Tasted Great. ALL the Chicken Shacks should Cook their food like this Location.

Very poor customer service at the Romeo plank rd and 23 mile location. I had my son order over the phone relaying to him what we wanted. When he picked it up and came back with order they didn’t give us the onion rings we ordered and no bbq sauce on the chicken. Ok so we call them and the manager herself argued with my son on the phone stating we ordered coleslaw (which we would never have ordered cause it’s awful there) she finally told my son come back for the onion rings so he did. That would have been fine if it was left at that but the manager (purple in her hair) told my son he never ordered what we said we ordered when we certainly knew what we ordered. She was being quite rude towards my son and to myself when I called the store personally to let manager know things were not handled very professionally at all. We will take our business to a different chicken shack location as we’ve never been spoken to so rudely by anyone as she did. Not sure if she is a new manager cause we’ve been going there for last couple years and never has anyone else there treated their customers this way. Update. I received a phone call later from the same lady (says she a manager) she said she didn’t approve of me cussing at her employees yet that never happened. I spoke with her directly over the phone and never had any contact with other employees. She left me rude voicemails and called my phone twice hanging up then leaving a message saying I wasn’t allowed to come there anymore. The way I was treated today I never had intentions on going to that location ever again. It’s this one manager who was the problem at this location as I’ve never had any issues with any other staff there whatsoever. I hope the owner reads this and truly pays better attention to who they hire. And if the phone calls continue to come to my phone I’ll be contacting a lawyer as I will not be harassed by this employee!!

Woman swore on the phone at me and refused to make my order. To allow that woman to still work there is beyond me after how many terrible reviews she gets. We’ve been coming to this location for over a year since we moved in the area and I’ve never dealt with such disrespect by a person who’s JOB is customer service. Learn how to talk to people lady, you’ll never get anywhere further than where you’re at with the way you act. Sad the company allows this.

It's a shame how bad customer service is nowadays. I came here for lunch today. I ordered a tender dinner and mushrooms, which by the way costs $30. When I got my order, I went to counter to get a ranch for my mushrooms. The RUDE woman the counter tried to take my bag and told me that she gave me a BBQ for my tenders. I then told her I wanted it for my mushrooms to which she gave me 1 small ranch for a large order, gave me a huge attitude and told me the don't serve ranch for mushrooms. Now I've been a customer to Chichen Shack for over 20 years. You always get an option for ranch or cocktail sauce. For $8, I should get a dipping sauce. But what really upset me, was I never told the woman I wouldn't pay for it. She just tried to snatch my food back. I refuse to spend another dime at a chicken Shack. The 2 chicken shacks in the area have THE WORST management. At some point the owners of the original Chicken Shack cared and stopped in at their frnachises to make sure everyone was on the same page. Now no one cares and still expects customers to hand over fork falls of money to RUDE people.

Buyers beware..... because of the current pandemic restaurants are selling chicken wings smaller for the same price if not more. Also they want us to tip them more for less. Unreal. Thank god for Detroit Wing Company. Their chicken wing are big and at a fair price! I can get bigger pieces of chicken wings at 7/11

Overall restaurant review: Very clean and neat. Inviting atmosphere. Great service. Fast and friendly. Chicken Bites Review: They used to use a panko type crispy batter for their chicken bites. This was what separated them from average chicken nuggets / bites. Corporate made the decision to change recipe. Went from 5 star to 3 star. Will re-visit and re-rate in a few months.
