This place is NOT over hyped! Visiting from Seattle, the Haystack was BOMB plus they have artisan bread for sale for $5 a loaf like come on.
Also I got an Americano and it was great, other reviews mention that the coffee is so so but I think it was made well. Ambiance was homey and comforting as well, my wife is keen on details and she loved it too. 5/5

I was in Lynden attending a silversmithing workshop. I knew I would likely not have a chance to have a meal break so I had a second breakfast at The Avenue Bread cafe. While it was a smaller breakfast, it hit the spot and kept me going for over 5 hours. Their freshly baked multigrain was fantastic, the eggs perfectly soft poached and the ham was thick and tasty (not overly salty like some places serve). Coffee was pretty good too! Lastly, prices were reasonable. I’d definitely go back! 😋

All of the Avenue bread locations are very good but but Lynden is by far the best. Much larger menu with great salads.. But it's hard not to get an eggenue for bfast and the BLTT for lunch. Classic.

Our second time coming to this wonderful restaurant. We love the extensive menu, and the fresh breads. Try the soups, they are so flavorful. Check or my sandwich, roast beef on rye. There is a great bookstore attached to the restaurant too.

Delicious and friendly. Nice hipster atmosphere. Fast service. I got the French dip, which was delicious. The roast beef was flavorful and tender. There was a good amount of meat on it.

Really good bread, sandwiches were very good. Local potato chips, would have wanted different side options to choose from. Free soda refills is a plus. The location and atmosphere are great. It's right next to a nice book and gift shop. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Amazing bread. It is a bit pricey, but also worth it. The dine in food is also very good. 100% would recommend it to everyone. Great little gem!
