Starbucks

We stopped in on our way to Florida. First stop of the morning and having clean bathrooms is always a plus! We had our coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and a cheese Danish. Everything was yummy. They accidentally made two extra coffees which made my husban and father in law happy. This place is clean. Girls are friendly.

Disgusting, not one of our drinks tasted good at all. We all 3 literally threw them away after only a couple of sips. The inside is not clean. It is the worst Starbucks I've ever visited. They have more Pride decor in side than a Pride Parade. They had more pride decor and really should have more menus displaying what they offer. They need to clean also. It was gross. My 8 yr old and 14yr old pointed out how gross it was inside and in the restrooms. So that should tell you.

My parents regularly order from the mobile app. I’d say at least three to four times a week. This was the first time where they have been absolutely disrespected and I feel like it needs to be reported. The barista was a horrible excuse for a person and was unbelievably rude to two of the most demure, calm people I know. He had black spectacles, stubble on his face, and had on a baseball cap working the 11:03 shift on 12/22/2021. After waiting for 10 minutes, my parents went to check on their order and noticed that their hot chocolate still had not been made. My mother had received her other drinks but for that one item. As any normal person would do, she went up to the counter and asked if her order had been received. The cashier was extremely polite and went to check up on it, after which, she told her that it would be ready next. After another 10 minutes, my mother once more went up and inquired about her hot chocolate. The cashier apologized again and said she would check up on it. When she asked the barista to please make the hot chocolate, he literally said “I don’t care” and moved the ticket once more to the back. The absolute disrespect that he showed to two quiet people of color is absolutely disgusting. I can only assume that he decided they were not worthy of receiving their hot chocolate and decided to make them feel unwelcome. This barista was blatantly rude for no reason whatsoever. The cashier was fully understanding when my parents gave back the entire order and asked for a refund. The whole experience was entirely unwarranted and that awful barista has no excuse for the way he acted.

Speaking as a ex partner (not from this store location) and as a customer, this location could be a lot better. The partners at this location are not trained properly. Starbucks standards are not pushed at this location like they should be. Unfortunately, it shows through the partners interactions with customers and effort they are NOT putting into making food and beverages. I don't know who their manager is now but they apparently don't care.

I came to the store and got an iced cinnamon dolce latte made with 3 shots and soy milk (because they were out of oat milk & that’s what was recommended). I got my drink in and as soon as I pulled off and I got down the highway, I noticed that there was white stuff settling in the bottom of my drink. It was obviously not mixed properly at all, and looked horrible. I tried calling the store to see if there was anything they could do but no one answered the phone. I tried calling twice.

There is no control in this franchise. Orders are slower everyday and now they have started blocking mobile orders way too often. Baristas are super slow but really slow that she does one coffee at a time and takes a great amount of time on each one. They guy that takes out the trash is in charge of bakery and he doesn’t even wash his hands or at least I didn’t see him do so. The floor is always dirty by the way. And while there is a lot of orders in progress there is a lot of social time behind the bar. No professionalism and it’s sad for this franchise and for all of us that enjoy coffee. Lumberton has plenty of travelers and honestly this is great business but whoever is in charge doesn’t care is very lazy for not managing personnel and flow of orders. I wouldn’t be surprised if it shuts down.
