Pho 88

Right away, I didn't like the ligthing of our table because it was dark and my shadow was making the table even darker while eating. So, I was agitated a bit. We ordered pho and rice dish with chicken. The portion sizes were big and server was polite and quick. I didn't like the taste of broth in pho because it was too sweet for me. I don't know why but I almost think it was a dessert soup. I couldn't finish it.

We visited last month, food was pretty good, the pho broth was missing a little flavor, the portion size were big. We also got only one plate with bean sprouts and limes for two big phos. I would give even less stars, but food wasn’t bad, so 3 it is. The restaurant looked extremely raggedy, starting with falling apart and missing pages menus, finishing with the carpets, dusty tables and chipped plates. The lights were dim, probably to cover up the state of the building. On top of that they were adding 5% on top of every order, because of the changing cost of produce and were supposed to create a new menu with higher prices. We had to wait forever for the attention from the staff, after we ordered our food; so you can expect a cheap dinner since the chances to get a second beer are zero.

We have visited Pho 88 many times over the years. Since COVID we made our first return today. Food quality not much has changed absolutely some of the best you will find!!!!! We expect they are struggling with employment. Service was much slower than expected. Far less servers per table. Make sure you tip those that are willing to work well!!!!
