Whataburger

2021 Update I didn't post a review last year. Like lots of businesses in 2020. This Whataburger was changing their customer services in ways to serve food safely for their staff and customers. My neighborhood Whataburger is average. They serve all the standard menu items and month specials to keep customers from getting bored. This past week my wife was driving to Dallas for a medical appointment and we had gotten an early start.and she saw the sign and made decision to get breakfast She had difficulty getting off Gilmer because you have to use the shopping center entrances and then drive back to the Whataburger parking area and their drive through lane. There was only one car ahead of her. No problem placing her order. However the line was not moving. Might have been a shift change or not a full staffing. Because when she got to the window she was talking with the manager. My wife panicked Asked me to get her Mask. That's when I noticed that the manager was wearing his mask but not covering his nose. My wife told him that he was not wearing his mask properly. And remarked that she didn't want to be served by someone not wearing a mask or eating food prepared by staff not wearing masks. The manager disagreed with her statement. The order was correct. And the food was good and served hot. My wife simply won't be coming here again.

Kevin Lewis I ordered a sweet and spicy bacon burger with a large fry. When I was handed my bag I checked and saw there was only two regular ketchup packs. I usually use 3 for the fries and one for my burger so I asked if I could have a couple more. The cashiers said “it’s in the bag” then shut the window in my face. I waited for about 20 seconds or so for her to reopen the window so I could tell her I wanted a couple MORE. She then turned looked at me then walked off. My receipt says cashier: Regina J. Manager: Kevin Lewis Order#559005 This is the second time y’all have refused to give extra condiments when I have ordered a large. I’ll fine with paying for the extra ketchup. I just don’t like fries without ketchup. When people order a large please give them the option to have extra ketchup for the extra food they are ordering.

They are not Chick-fil-A, but they will work for the craving of beef you desire. The employees are cheerful and the managers are about the customers! One incident includes me purchasing a patti-melt meal and upon arriving home, what was suppose to be buttery toast was a regular hamburger bun. I refuse to eat anything I did not request and pay for, unapologetically.

I've tried to give this place a decent chance, but this is the 3rd time in a month that my order has been wrong and they couldn't be bothered to put ketchup in the bag, despite it not only being on the order, but it's mentioned in the delivery instructions. Today was the worst because half of my bun was soggy. As far as ketchup goes, why is it that I ask Chick Fil A for 4 sauces and get 10 and I ask Whataburger for 4 ketchups and I never get any?
