What an absolute gem. Phenomenal service (attentive but not rushed) and lovely atmosphere. Spacious airy dining room and huge garden with plentiful outdoor seating (where they grow their own herbs). Everyone very kind and friendly, and went above and beyond to add special touches - all the chefs came out to sing happy birthday to another (delighted) diner and others were taking away herbs from the garden. Lots of variety on the menu and excellent value, with a 3 course lunchtime deal on offer. Perfect on a sunny lunchtime and would be equally great for a social get-together or a solo working lunch. Enthusiastic and friendly staff, high quality food, reasonable prices. This restaurant is associated with New City College and we went on the night the service and food was delivered by the students. They were friendly and genuinely concerned that you we were looked after and had the best experience. All the courses were excellent but the pastry section really excelled. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

An easy 5 stars. Something went a little wrong with the menu and less than half of it was available (understandable at the end of its run during uncertain Covid times), though we still easily found enough delicious items for a great meal. It was also easily the best value meal I've had in London. It felt like robbery when the bill came! The star of my meal was the burrata (cheese) starter with a delicious, fresh olive oil. Simple but incredibly good! They have a different seasonal menu each month and I can't wait to see what they have next!

Wow! Just wow! This restaurant has re-opened recently and its well worth a visit. Menu offers something slightly different - with loads of veggie options (👍👍👍). And save some room for the cakes! Student chefs work beside top names from London’s best restaurants. Oh - and beer on tap from Hackney Brewery. What’s not to love?!
