We had the pleasure of having Hanna Dewsnap as out property Manager whilst renting via The Stow Brothers. She was responsive, attentive and caring- all the things you could want from a property manager. Definitely made every process as easy and streamlined as it could be, even during times when she was dealing with her own bereavement she advocated for us and I could not recommend anyone more. The Stow Brothers are made 5**** by people like Hanna. 10/10

We have just sold a flat through Stow Brothers and we have been very pleased with their work throughout. From the very first visit for a valuation through to exchange they have always been helpful. Their communication has always been excellent. It is the first time we have dealt with an Estate Agents who are positive, helpful, on the ball and good at communication both for buyers and sellers. And yes, we’ve dealt with many over the years! Well done, and thank you.

Harry French has been amazing throughout the entire process. We have just moved from the US to the UK and given the current state of the housing/renting market, we have had a great deal of difficulty just getting picked for viewings. Harry, as well as the Walthamstow office, has been prompt, informative, honest, and transparent. On top of that, he has worked closely with landlords to assist with negotiation on our behalf and helped the process run smoothly. We love that The Stow Brothers manage their properties, making renting more manageable and streamline as well. Would recommend 100%, they have made this very stressful transition in our lives easier. THANK YOU!!

Hanna Dewsnap manages my flat and she is superb. She is polite, honest, efficient, knowledgeable, responsive, professional and always does what she promises. When I decided to move the management to Stow Brothers, I visited the Walthamstow office and everyone I met was friendly and welcoming. I feel that I am in very safe hands and the personal service that Hanna provides goes above and beyond.

Super happy with Stow Brothers and how they dealt with my mother’s end of tenancy due to ill health. They were patient and extremely helpful. Hanna Dewsnap was always quick to respond to my queries and is very professional yet approachable. She made sure that everything went smoothly and nothing was too much trouble.

The team at Stow Brothers were excellent from beginning to end, despite challenging circumstances. I’d had one sale fall through, another back out, and mortgage rates were soaring. Despite this, Eva ploughed on and secured a reliable buyer in good time thanks to some strict vetting. Tiffany and Claudia managed the sale process patiently and professionally, keeping me updated throughout and reassuring me along the way. I wish I had gone with Stow sooner, having tried other local agents before, including one who seemed to lose all interest when the buyer pulled out. A big thanks to the Stow team. I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again in future.

Recently let my property with the Walthamstow Stow Brothers agency. The process was super smooth, clear and efficient. The flat was let within a week from instruction. Have been working with Nathan B -the Lettings director from many years now and it has always been a pleasure to deal with him and his team. One of the best agencies in London. Highly recommended!!!

We recently bought a house with Stow Brothers in Walthamstow and couldn't recommend them highly enough! As first time buyers we were totally new to the process and they explained everything to us, and answered all our questions. Their communication throughout the buying process was great - extremely clear and diligent. The team were very friendly and approachable, and kept us up to date at each stage from viewing, making an offer, exchange and completion. Thank you very much!

We chose Stow Brothers as their brand image, marketing strategy and customer care stood out from the crowd... and we were not disappointed. From the start we knew we'd made the right decision. Their photographer was brilliant, the brochure beautiful, the open day slick and professional. Their communication throughout was responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend.

Quite a steal at £11 for a two-course meal. A good sampling of Filipino flavours for any adventurous palate.

Quite a good introduction to anyone curious about the greatest fusion cuisine ever (Filipino). Skip the familiar and go for the crash intro dishes like sisig and dinuguan. Skip the steak-looking dish to avoid comparing it to a proper steak place! Have the halo-halo for desert to top off a great meal! Demand for your purple yam topping!

Quite a basic Filipino restaurant in London but a good acquaintance with the cuisine.

Filipino restaurants in London are a rarity, Tripadvisor website only shows a handful of the search engines. I came across Josephine’s restaurant in Charlotte Street and always wanted to try more Filipino dishes. Josephine’s Restaurant has been running in central London for over 20 years’ family run serving authentic Filipino dishes. Although it may seem like a shabby looking restaurant it does serve great Filipino food. The restaurant was empty when I arrived and in the duration of 1 one hour, the only person they served. Filipino cuisine is an interesting mix, the Spanish invaded the islands so it has Spanish Asian influences.

I've been here a couple of times and the food is always good. It's the only Filipino I'm central London and the only Filipino I've ever had so take this with a pinch of salt. Their peanut sauce chicken is great, and their stuffed squid isn't bad. Their beef is nice too. Be sure to order some garlic rice! The price and portions are good, especially considering the location. Apparently the restaurant has been there since the mid-80s and it's currently struggling with rent going up and chains opening all around it.

Josephines is a Filipino restaurant that will often be overlooked on the bustling Charlotte Street. I've put off coming here for years despite it being very close to me as I am Filipino and was more than ready to hate anything that wasn't home cooked.

But on one evening I had an insatiable craving for crispy pata (boiled and then fried pork knuckle) and finally gave in. The pile of meat was generous, bones left in tact, and the meat was prepared as it should be. So many different textures and flavors provided by different regions of meat, skin, and cartilage.

The Biko Bibingka (glutinous rice cake) was also better than my family would make.

So pleased to have had my expectations shattered after not going here for so long. I will surely be back to try the other Filipino classics on offer.

I never thought I got to try Filipino food after losing out my other reservation. My friends and I gave Josephine's a go with an open mind. The staff were polite as we were seated and the menu was interesting. But the food really let us down as they overcooked a chicken dish with some random sauce. My friends dishes weren't much better either. I grinned and beared with it and we didn't leave a tip. I would give Filipino food another try, though not here. Honestly, this is the lowest score restaurant I have given to date.

I honestly never thought about Filipino cuisine until the day we bumped into this little place called Josephine’s in the heart of Fitzrovia. The place clearly does not express the glamour and the fame of some of its Charlotte Street’s neighbours (Charlotte St Hotel, Roka, Fino, Bamboo, etc). We almost kept on walking, but we were looking for something different from our normal routine, so took a chance and are delighted we did!

Avoid!. I agree with previous reviews, food is bland, dry or overcooked, clearly not authentic. Service charge added didn't feel right for the service received. Total disappointment!

Awful. Steak was overbooked and so was chicken. Sauce was bland and overpriced. Starters very average - left v disappointed.

If you're looking for a bland, and occasionally questionable, Asian dining experience then this place is for you. The waitstaff are nice enough but that will not be enough to get the taste of disappointment (or the uncleaned squid dish) out of your mouth.

Awful truly truly awful. I tried this restaurant sometime ago and should have known better. After living in Asia for over 3 years and visting the Phillippines twice and not really remember the cuisine should have known better.

This is awful food, not authenitic , basically bland and badly cooked frozen (thats a guess) food that really is not worth paying for.

The flourescent sweet and sour was just the icing on the cake.

Dont waste your money.

I’ve been spending a bunch of time in Fitzrovia for some reason and each time I am there I’ve walked by Josephine’s which is the only Filipino restaurant I’ve seen in London (if you know of other please let me know!). I make a mental note to come back and

Bland & Dry. We went into Josephine's last night as we were quite intrigued to sample Filipino cuisine. What a disappointment!

The starters of Manila spring rolls and a huge fresh spring roll were not too bad, even though the fresh roll would have been nicer and more appropriate as a starter with a bit less of the veg filling and maybe some added spice.

The true disappointment came with the mains. My chicken stew in peanut sauce was bland, the Aubergine cooked into absolute submission, and the three huge pieces of chicken simply unbelievably dry.

My companion didn't enjoy her stuffed squid either. It looked lovely but was also a pretty bland affair.

I might as well add that the whole place looks a bit run down with a sad looking aquarium and toilets in desperate need of refurbishment.

On the positive her Old Fashioned Whisky and my Filipino San Miguel were nice. I just wish we hadn't paid £45 (incl. service charge) for them.
