A while ago I was at Old Street station where I discovered a soup specialist called Nincomsoup. You can't miss it because you can literally smell the lovely soups a mile away. Nincomsoup have been specialising in liquid assets since 1999. On the menu it is primarily soups as well as soup companions like bread and they also have juices, pastries and other items. There are about six soups to choose from and they let you try the soups which help you decide. There were three soups that day which were my fancy: bangers and mash, Sengalese chicken and Russian Fish soup. Sampled all three and I was a bit disappointed with bangers and mash as it tasted more like potato soup but chicken and fish stole each others show in different ways. The chicken was very exotic in taste with peanuts and spices as well as the chicken while the Fish was equally comforting even though it was Russian style because of the dill and smoked haddock. In the end I settled for the Chicken as I rarely have Sengalese chicken as opposed to Fish. I went for the small soup because I still had other restaurants to try. At the soup counter, there are fresh herbs which you can add to your soup. Overall, I would really recommend this soup joint and hope to come back for the Russian Fish soup next time. The trouble is, they always change the soups so there could be something more exciting next time.

My white bean and chorizo soup was delicious! Good choice of bread rolls available, very friendly service. Perfect on a cold day.

Was a cold and windy day, and was longing for something warm for lunch. What better than a nice boil of soup. Found this place online to great reviews. I picked the morrocon lamb and sweet potato coconut chicken (both small because wanted to try 2 separate ones) along with a carrot and seeded bread. The lamb soup was alright (maybe the chickpeas was over-powering for me), and I should have guessed that's how the soup would be. The chicken soup was great, with the right amount of sweetness of the potatoes... The best thing of my meal was the bread, I like nothing better than warm, soft fresh from the oven breads. I was pushing to give it a perfect 5 stars, but will wait before I try a few more times - yes, definitely going back...

Excellent for lunch - reasonable portions of simple soups and produced to a high standard. More interesting than mass produced soups from large chains. Plenty of seating inside, takeaway option also available. Also sells salads, snacks etc.

Always amazing good quality food, organic and ethically sourced. Its always a pleasure to stop in for lunch. Staff are very accommodating, I have a visual impairment so cant read the signs that say what's available and staff are always more than happy to read me everything and give tasters even in the lunchtime rush!

Good soup and nice staff. The coffee is okay (but that's good for central London). There is a variety of soup types and a few treats as well. Gluten Free options are available. All in all, not a bad place for a quick bite.

I walked past this place for years before going in. I missed out, it's great. Excellent coffee, really good soups, extensive vegan offering, friendly chilled atmosphere. Also, they play fabulous music on a great sound system - not too loud, and it always adds to my enjoyment.

The staff are so sweet and the filter coffee is amazing. I bought an awesome reusable foldable travel cup last week and stupidly lost a part of it the same day. Today they kindly replaced the part for me. I approve

When I worked near Old Street Station, this place was a staple for me. I'd be here at least 3 times a week, and now my colleagues have made a habit of popping in just as much, as well. Their soup selection changes all the time, so keep a look out, just cause you didn't like what they had that week, doesn't mean you won't like what they have the following week. Grab some bread while you're there too, it's hella fresh.
