Rice Bistro

Not sure why this place never pops up when searching for gluten free, this is the first Chinese place that has options for me other than grilled chicken and sushi! I am in love with their gluten free sweet and sour chicken as well as their orange and sesame chicken too. Also have good gluten free rice noodles. Plus nice atmosphere!

I have lived and worked in Japan for over ten (10) years. Stopped at RICE in Aspen Grove for lunch while my computer was being updated at the nearby Apple Store. I was blown away by the quality of food here. Quality of fish and unagi was outstanding, expertly prepared and presented. I sat alone at the sushi bar and the chef hooked me up with two (2) complimentary side dishes. Whenever I'm in the area, I will be back! Highly recommended!!!

I feel bad leaving just one star but there were just so many problems with every. Single. Dish. We started with chicken wraps and spicy edamame: the chicken wraps had frozen peas and carrots and the lettuce was very lackluster while the spicy edamame was more like a edamame soup and the seasoning was very bland. Then we got a Philadelphia roll, spicy tuna roll and crazy roll: the fish in all three were very mushy (and as my wife put it, look like it was ground fish) and in all three the rice was very overcooked and rolled so tight that all the rice lost its texture. Also, there was very little fish in each roll. I am sure there are some details I am forgetting but you certainly get the gist. I spoke with the manager said I was sad this was such a bad experience because we had been here before several times and was looking forward to this meal. I can't recommend this restaurant.
