Went with my friend for lunch. I had the Hey Hot Stuff Burger, he had the deep fried pickles and we had a sharing portion of the vegan duck fries. All the food was delicious, good value and made quite fast. The vegan duck fries were incredible - would really recommend them.

Had an interesting experience here the other day. Me and a group of people I wars with come here for a meal, you order your meal then get given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Mine buzzed got my burger and loaded chilli fries, the burger taste really good but the fries where a little bit salty. That was on the thing that let it down for me.

Burgers are really nice and good soft bun but the fries are not so great and they forgot my boyfriends milkshake what a let down... overall nice but fries need big improvement EDIT: based on ordering via deliveroo I can now confirm this is my favourite burger place in Leeds! I cannot explain the difference in quality and taste when compared to somewhere like five guys, the ugly little dry grain fed burgers but from here it is always juicy and addictively good. (I added a star)

First time ordering and delivery was quick came earlier than expected. The food oh it is just amazing I ordered a burger with bacon cheese fries and loved every mouthful. Definitely wouldn't be able to eat a different burger again.. I like the fact you can order a tub of melted cheese. Always hated buying cheesy fries as they have never been cheesy enough. Never have that problem again. Thankyou food is brilliant

Been to Slap & Pickle numerous times and always enjoyed their burgers and sharing fries. Normally I'd give them a 5 star rating, however on my latest visit (12/02/2022) the Big Mick Fries were more like wedges than their usual fries and were soggy and sticking to/mushing up the paper underneath, rather than crisp. Not sure if that was down to being cooked in oil that wasn't up to temperature or because it was loaded with so much more sauce than usual. Not up to the usual standard,hence lost a star in my rating

I was in Leeds for the weekend and, as a vegan, it’s always a little daunting when it comes to food options. I ordered late at night and was very thankful Slap & Pickle was open and had an abundance of vegan options available. Also bought the vegan duck loaded fries but they’re not pictured. My only qualm is putting stale frazzles on the chips was a little bit of a let down, but I’ll let it slide for the overall taste.

5 stars well deserved no question! Ordered from the Sheffield slap and pickle for the first time today and was not disappointed. We ordered for collection, meal was very prompt and was met with very pleasant staff. Both ordered burgers and the sharing naked fries, food was absolutely delicious, still warm when we got home, we’re looking forward to ordering from there again.

We ordered burgers here the other night as takeaway. I loved mine (the baconator) but I'd have to say that the spicy burger my partner ordered was definitely not spicy enough - needs to be braver, as that's what spice lovers would want. Still great burgers though, and in my top three in Leeds. But Alley Cats remains my favourite burger joint. (They also take no prisoners on their spicy specials!)
