The Loft

Very long wait, not just for seating (it was a friday night) but also for our food. The waitress was even apologizing for the wait on our food. The steak had a very good flavor as did the coffee encrusted burger, the potato casserole was just mashed potatoes with stuff added in...but they were tasty, mushrooms were also really good. Overall, it was good, we'll probably go back if we're in that city.

Got seated quickly. Food was good, but the steamed veggies were lukewarm at best. 15 minutes for a glass of tea. 10 minutes after I asked for the check. Don’t understand the problem. Lots of help for the waitresses. Must be quality of the staff. Manager did all she could to keep everyone happy, but too many problems to return. Flies were a huge, huge problem.

We called in for a reservation and got to The Loft early. We sat at the bar and enjoyed conversation with Larry (bartender). We changed our seating to the bar for dinner. You can reserve a spot at the bar and spent a good amount of time with a local celeb. We both had redfish and it was great. The potato casserole is sinfully good. Good selection of bourbons to enjoy. Fun evening and a short walk to our B&B. 👍

Excellent place to eat! Food was great! Recommend the fried green tomatoes appetizer and white Sangria! Portions were generous and wait staff was great! Our waitress (I failed to get name) was helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant .. 2 pasta entrees, 2 glasses of red wine, 2 glasses white sangria, fried green tomatoes, cheesecake with ALL the toppings and tip under $120!!

It’s been at least 3 years since we’ve been back here and it’ll probably be the last . Last time here the food was on point but the service was so so !! Tonight the food was mediocre at best and we never got our salads,the service was terrible and that’s being nice ! Our server seemed to be either overwhelmed or more focused on a bigger table ! I have no problem paying $203 plus tip(and I did leave a tip even though the server really didn’t deserve it ) but at that price,I have higher expectations and they just weren’t met !! My steak was ordered medium ands that’s how it came,but it was very very tough and bland tasting . I had to find someone to get my server just so we could pay to leave,and with the same excuse,” busy with a table of 18 !” Like many establishments in the area,it starts off good but slowly deteriorates ! The Loft-thanks but no thanks . I’ll spend my money elsewhere from now on .

This was our first experience at The Loft and we were not disappointed. My wife and I arrived shortly after it opened today (Friday) and there were just a few in line in front of us. We were seated within minutes and our server (Austin) arrived at our table within 60 seconds. The Creole Shrimp Pasta and the 14oz Ribeye were delicious. There was a mountain of shrimp on top of the pasta that was enough for 2 meals. Really enjoyed the ambience and the service. Will definitely be returning.
