Amber Spice

Delivery to our College Park home arrived quickly and packaged neatly. The order was correct and everything was still piping hot, which I was really impressed with. The dishes were great, especially my Korma, and the garlic naan was perfectly tender, not soggy! Amber Spice has shot up to the top of our favorite places to order delivery and I expect to work my way through their entire menu over the next few weeks and months.

Fantastic food as usual. Everything was spiced really well, and the staff is good about accommodating for folks who can’t handle as much spice. Excellent, attentive service and fast meal delivery. They just opened in the last month but the space is open and modern. If you loved Curry Leaf, come on by! The former Curry Leaf chef is now here along with much of the fantastic staff.

Amber Spice is a gem! Some of the best Indian food in the DMV, if not the best around. Amazing Indian cuisine best choices that range from meat to vegetarian. the staff is amazing and friendly and if you've never done Indian food before they could definitely recommend something for a beginner. The curry goat is one of my favorites.

I love Indian food and after seeing a glowing review of Amber Spice in the Washington Post, I decided to try their take-out. The menu is quite extensive and included all my favorites as well as some “chef special” items I had not seen before. The food was ready when I arrived and I was soon on my way home. Our choices included samosas, butter chicken, vegetable korma,, rice, naan and a mango lassi. All of the items were delicious; very comparable to the best Indian food I have had in DC, San Francisco, NY and London. I consider us very lucky to have Amber Spice nearby.

I would have taken a picture but I completely forgot when the aroma hit my nose. Immediately go order food from Amber Spice. They are a Top 100 Washingtonian Best Restaurant for a reason. I had the Lamb Saagwala with Garlic Naan. I was on the fence for getting chicken and regular naan but the Amber Spice person suggested the Lamb and Garlic Naan... OMG. It was the best. There was SO much meat. The flavor was excellent - so deep and so tender. I couldn't finish it last night so I just had it for breakfast. I saved the Chana Masala for this evenings dinner.

The presentation of the establishment is nice! it seemed very welcoming and inviting. I was already skeptical about trying this restaurant out for Indian food ( I only stick to one specific spot ) However, as my first time ever walking in to your establishment an employee made direct eye contact with me as I picked up a menu and said nothing; & (though I’m very familiar with Indian cuisine), just continued their convo with two other guys sitting in the bar area. This action already made things very un-inviting and welcoming. There was no warm greet, gesture wave or any acknowledgement of OR to a person who WAS “ABOUT” to give your establishment their hard earned money. Just want to let y’all know : “DO BETTER WITH your future consumers in YOUR ESTABLISHMENT” good service starts with a greet! Not sure how the food taste✌🏾
