Starstruck

We visited Monday, August 7th, 2023. From the moment we were greeted with our Aloha and Lei, we felt part of the family. Staff was helpful, informative, and above all kind. I thought the served meal was better than the old buffet style (2018 was our last visit). Everything was fresh and delicious. Drinks were also very good. The evening was a mix of individual and group performances. All were done with professional precision. My family and I enjoyed it very much. Lau Lau was fantastic!

My husband and I came on our honeymoon and left with full bellies and huge smiles. Food is brought to your table and you are able to try everything—it’s a LOT of food and all delicious. Definitely come hungry! We quickly got a “welcome drink” from our server and he kept them coming all night. The setting, costumes, music and dancing all came together for a spectacular show. Definitely add this to your itinerary if you can!!

Absolutely LOVED our time here at this luau. I brought my entire family here for their first luau experience and we were not disappointed. The amount of care and love that went into making our experience by the wait staff, dancers, and crew was incredible. We felt like we were right at home. Luau’s can be pricey but this one is worth every penny. If you are looking for a luau experience, look no further than Old Lahaina Luau. Highly recommend!

The experience overall was great. Parking lot filled up early, overflow parking was across the street. Lots of things to do prior to dinner/show…photos with photographers on hand, shop local made merchandise, enjoy the views. Food was great, and lots of it, will provide non meat options if asked for. Drinks were equally as great, and an abundance of mocktails available if you don’t want alcohol. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would come back again.

Overall, this was a decent experience; however, I was extremely disappointed in where we were seated. We were seated all the way back at the last row back from stage and on the side end near the area where food was being prepared so all we kept hearing were dishes clanking and servers talking and laughing. Not only that, but we were also unable to view the show seated at the table so we had to constantly stand up and move around. This wasn’t ideal for my disabled elderly parents who were there to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food was served in courses and was pretty good. My favorites were the taro rolls with guava butter, pineapple cake and piña colada and mai tai drinks. I don’t eat pork so I couldn’t enjoy that part, but the fish was good. The show was very traditional, but a bit long winded….but the sound and lighting production were excellent. In short, it was an ok experience but certainly not one that blew me away in awe. I’d cautiously recommend depending on what type of luau you’re interested in.

What an amazing evening! My husband and I had SO much fun! The staff works their tails off to ensure you’re having a fabulous evening. Our server Vince was PHENOMENAL!! So funny and and personable. He definitely added to our enjoyment of the evening! David did an excellent job bussing our table and keeping things clean and orderly for the next exciting course… btw pace yourself! There will be a LOT of food! 😋 And my goodness the dancing/entertainment!! If only I could move like those individuals!! 😲😅. So fascinating and fun to watch!

This is our second time going to this Luau. It is one of the better shows we have been to and by far the best drinks and atmosphere for taking group photos!! The first time we went was a buffet style which they have now changed to a plated meal (Covid rule). The food is good but the buffet was so much nicer allowing you to get more of what you liked and less (or none) of what you didn’t care for. We hate waisting food so a bummer seeing items tossed that we didn’t care for.

This is definitely one of the best luaus we have attended in terms of the food and the show. It was a beautiful setting, and we watched the sun set as we ate dinner. There were 5 courses, and they brought out a sampling of all the foods in each course. I really enjoyed this over the buffet style. You can still request as much of a particular dish as you want, but they bring it to the table instead of your having to stand in the buffet line. Every course was so nicely done and felt like being at a nice restaurant rather than a buffet. The show was stunning as well. I loved that they told the history of Maui specifically.
