Mel's Diner

One word for it is - awesome. The food is awesome, the vibe is awesome and the service is awesome too. Loved the whole old Hollywood 50s and 60s classic theme. They even made the post covid booth separation curtains turned to old Hollywood iconic scene posters. The staff makes sure that you feel warm welcome and personlizes the experience by sharing friendly chat with you. Must visit if you are visiting the neighborhood.

Mel's is always amazing! The staff are friendly and polite. Their menu has a great selection; there's definitely something for everyone. The menu is reasonably priced and delicious. The food comes to the table quickly, and the waitress' are attentive. My most recent visit we were seated in Sabrina's section and we had an excellent time! I definitely recommend the chicken and waffle benny!!🤌

Stopped on for a meal and this was my experience. Pros: - decor and music make it an authentic diner experience Cons: - waitress had to confirm drinks a second time, then came back to confirm the meat that was selected for one of the orders, and also included sour cream on my order which I had specifically stated I didn't want; all of this yet the waitress took our order with a note pad... - food took a really long time to come, and it wasn't very busy - food tasted fine but value was poor - probably a nit pick, but two of the three meals didn't have any visible vegetables and they didn't even bother with a garnish which made for a poor presentation Conclusion: Didn't give me a reason to return. Given that Fireside Family Restaurant is only one major block away and has great food and good service, I will take my business there when dining in this area going forward.

Our family of six went for brunch today and it was quite busy (25 minute wait for a table, which was fine). Our waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive. My omelet with cheddar cheese and sausage was quite good. The hash brown nuggets however, were cold by the time they reached our table. Having said that, we were a party of six, it was busy and I am sure the timing of meals is difficult under those circumstances.
