First time here...has an "Edinburgh" feel to it. Food amazing, staff friendly and place spotless. Hard to believe such a place is situated on Kirkcaldy High Street....and loved the sneaky preview of the future plans. Well done first class!!

Toilets also upstairs with group dining table and an area that could be used for a conference maybe. Nicely decorated. No alcohol served.

Amazing food, amazing service and a really lovely atmosphere. We have been meaning to come here for ages and we most certainly will be back to try more from a thoroughly exciting menu!

Good service and decent food. The chicken was a bit dry and the duck not red at all.

I expected it to be an overpriced place with average food. However I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and there was good quantity. Yes it's pricey but the food is worth it. The meat was very well made👌🏽 ( especially the duck in the duck ramen).

Went today for lunch with my husband and got very impressed with the service, definitely not the common slow scottish service. The food is good, the place is clean, the attitude of the staff is "I really like my job" and I am happy I don't have to go all the way to Edinburgh to eat good sushi and noodles. I'll definitely be back.

4 of us went in for lunch. It was a great choice. The food was really very good. As I love Japanese food I was keen to try a selection from their wide and diverse menu. We chose 4 different starters to share, Yakatori, Tempura Prawns, Gyoza and Seaweed Pakora. The Pakora was amazing and so unexpected. For mains we ordered Udon noodles, California Rolls (Baked Salmon) and a Sushi Platter. It was truly wonderful. The staff were really good, attentive but not in your face. The Chef was trained locally in the nearby Fife College where I saw him as a guest chef preparing some dishes from Koku Shi's menu last year. This is a great place to go try something different and with the choices on the menu, you will find plenty that you will love. Currently they do not have an alcohol license yet so I wasn't able to have some warm Saki with my meal but the did have a good selection of soft drinks. However, I believe they allow you to bring your own. We will be back. Overall I rate Koku Shi excellent.

Such a fab place! Went for lunch for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Knew nothing about the place so didn't expect much and had a CRACKING feed! Chicken gyozas, the fried chicken starter I can't remember the name of(!), Pork belly ramen and chicken katsu. All delicious, chicken gyozas I wasn't mad keen on the texture of the filling, but otherwise, I have no complaints. Seriously good. Jasmine tea and a peach bubble tea to wash it down and both were lush. Really nice lady looked after us, great for recommendations and brought me more sauce for the katsu when I'd wolfed too much of it down. Nice and clean restaurant as well. Had a fab time!

The food and service was very nice. I had Haggis balls, a lot of salmon sushi and rice tea. I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the way the restaurant was decorated.
