I don't like the AI ordering, and they only had one worker in the restaurant.

I haven't had Checker's/Rally's since I was child, and I had not idea that now and AI bot takes your order. However, once we got over that (and our family discussion what the future's going to look like), the food was decent.

I got the $5 value meal that came with a cheeseburger, fries, chicken bites and a drink. It was good and a great value. Will be going back next time I'm in Katy.

Haven't had checkers in about 20 years. Was so excited when we saw it had to stop. My wife and kids had never seen it heard of checkers. It was as good as I remembered and the whole family devoured their food.

Automated order drive thru was a little strange, but it got my order right. Just took a bit longer.
I was waiting behind someone for a while. When I got to the window, the guy didn't greet me, but he was swift and polite none the less. My food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The entire order was correct with perfect portions. I will always go out of my way for a good checkers meal.

I'm not sure if this place is in a state of flux with crew/management (looking at previous reviews), but honestly my visit wasn't bad at all. Restaurant clean, food was hot and properly prepared and took almost no time to get, fountain drink tasted good and not off or like carbonated water, folks were nice. Prices for food all things considered are on par with everyone else in the same arena of fast food.
I don't honestly think I've ever actually eaten at a Checkers before, but I'd be willing to give this location another visit.

Checkers/Rally's need to come back to San Antonio. There's always a market for a delicious and affordable burger.
The bacon on this beast was serious.....not that skimpy Wendy's or Carl's Jr bacon.
This was thick cut strips....layered up.
