One of our favorite Japanese restaurants in the area. Consistency is key. The service and food is always good. The space is comfortable and clean. We love to come here regularly.

This is kinda 4.5 territory. The service and the general vibe are great. We had a few different rolls, 2 out of 3 were great, the Volcano tastes pretty decent but the fire over-cooked it a bit. The Vegetable Tempura was pretty bland.

I’m an out of towner and we had been craving sushi and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted when we got there, we were sat and taken care of immediately, the appetizers came out within 5 minutes and were so hot as fresh, the sushi rolls we ordered also came out super fast and were also super fresh, and our waitress was so kind and attentive. I would absolutely come here again if I am ever back in the area. Crispy rice and gyoza were phenomenal, the angel hair, volcano, and crunch rolls were to die for, and the service was great. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum Center!
Short wait on a Saturday night, but not so bad! Food was delicious, but took a bit of time to be served.
Friendly staff and a good bar as well!

This was our first time to Robata Wasa. We were immediately seated for an early lunch. Our server was awesome, she anticipated our refills and requests. Some of the winner plates included the Dragon Roll, Volcano, Sushi Gozen, and Salmon and Avocado Roll. Some of the plates that were left partially eaten included the Cucumber Salad and the Seaweed Salad. Don't be fooled American, the Cucumber Salad is a bowl of pickles, one per table would be plenty. Overall we had a great experience, and most were happy with their meal choices.

Nice place to chat with your friends and family. Neat food. I like gindara saiko yaki very much. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Chicken teriyaki was also good. Overall, it is worth trying.

Order whatever sushi you like from here but if you want to try something uniquely different, get the salmon skin salad. I would give this a 5 star rating on its own.

Robata Wasa is a great restaurant. I've been there a few times and have always had a good experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the prices are a bit high but the food is worth it, and the ambiance is nice and relaxed.
I especially love their sushi and sashimi. The fish is always super fresh, and they have a great variety of rolls to choose from. The Volcano Roll is my favorite, but they also have some really good sashimi and nigiri.

I think this is the best Japanese restaurant that I've ever been to. The ambiance is great, the location is easy to get to, service is very good and professional, the price is fair and the food is delicious!
The quality of the sushi rice is top notch and the presentation of some of their rolls is great. Also a very nice plus, they have bottled beer!

Have been coming here for years. The food in Robata Wasa is very authentic for Japanese (and some other dishes), consistently excellent and well presented I thought the sushi roll was fresh and well done(I love it😍).
I am pretty picky about my sushi and I thought it was quite good here.
