Love the atmosphere! Went on a Saturday night after the symphony. They had live music, kinda clubby feeling, but not too loud so we could still talk. The waiter was really courteous and took good care of us. The manager came by to say hello and ask how everything was. We ordered the pork Bao, which was delicious, and the Cherry Blossom role, which was also very tasty! I had a cocktail, which was served very elegantly with an orchid for decoration. They brought house made fresh fortune cookies dipped in chocolate at the end, with fun fortunes. Overall a great experience!!

This is not the old Tarakaan that some remember. With new owners, management and more important a new chef, everyone who had a bad review should go back and try it again Chef Rob Frias has a passion for the cuisine he puts out and it shows. We were blown away with the experience we had last night. CAN'T wait to go back and try more food. His cauliflower puree was phenomenal! Wishing you guys the best with your new venture!

Amazing. Exotic. Worldly. I found out about this place when it just opened and brought my friends in October 2015. This place knocked my socks off. The décor was hip, modern, exotic, trendy, unique, artful and had the perfect touch of culture. The music was upbeat and loungy. The lighting created mystery. I love the personalized logos on everything. Every SINGLE dish we ordered was artfully presented. Only thing: we thought the tamarind Pad Thai was a bit too sharp in its spice but lovely. The Curried Cauliflower I ordered was a revelation. Their Assorted Mochis were fresh and wonderfully flavored. The house dessert was simply divine. I never like bread pudding but the texture and multi layered flavors with passion fruit, basil, almond and pineapple in this one... oh my! We ordered nonalcoholic rose lychee drinks!! I have tons of ideas of drinks and dishes they can make... Id like to see more vegetarian options in their menu too. Totally world class! Congrats, we are proud to have a restaurant of this caliber in Houston.
