We go here with our kids a few times a month and they recognize us which is really nice. The servers are so personable, kind, and attentive. It’s become our go-to spot. The margaritas are also top notch which I was not expecting, but definitely appreciate!

My mom and I come very often for lunch. The service is quick and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. I’ve ordered many different menu items and liked them all. My two favorites are the Enchiladas Verdes with charro beans or the Seafood soup. Also good frozen margaritas. Tortillas are homemade of course. My mom also likes the enchiladas verdes or the Taco Salad. Very flavorful salad.

While in town with my daughter for a training session, we felt a craving for Mexican food.
A quick search on Google Maps led us to this cozy place. I had the Carne guisada, while my daughter enjoyed a hearty serving of cheese enchiladas. The generosity of their portions definitely stood out, the food was very good, despite the queso being a tad thin - a minor detail in an otherwise superb meal.
The standout feature was the exceptional service, marked by friendly staff and constantly refilled drinks.
This place is definitely worth a visit!

I love this place. It's the perfect little happy hour getaway that's not packed to capacity like most places in Houston with great food. The drinks are amazing, you don't need too many to feel a buzz. The prices or awesome. I had the 3 shrimp enchiladas with rice and beans dinner. Delish. I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place because it's really that good.

first time here, read reviews and decided to try, great service greeted with a smile upon entry, great question for chips and my fajita enchiladas came out with in 5 minutes.

Tough to say who has the best Mexican food in the city. I’m just here to let you know that Tecate is better than the other Mexican food restaurant on the street. I’ve had both. I walked an extra half mile to Tecate from my mechanic around the corner, because it’s that much better.
