Liberty Grille

The pizzas here are very good! My favorite is the Bacon, Onion, and Olive! Currently, and for a few months, there is only pizza for sale, so there is no other food, which is disappointing because I absolutely LOVED the Chicken and Pesto Tortellini! The staff there is very nice! Going there, I feel very welcome and I always look forward to my visits. I did used to work here, but I no longer do, so this is an honest review with no biases.

I don’t typically write reviews but had to since I saw the exact same experience below. We heard great things about the pizza and decided to come try it out. We walked in the door, hostess looked at us like we had 10 heads. “Are you picking up takeout?” We said we were hoping to eat there and she said “well we’re only doing pizza so.” And walked off like the prior review. We were going to eat pizza there anyway, but not after being talked to like that. Seems like this hostess is driving away many customers. We’ll stick with our usual pizza spots.

Had many meals there, some good, some OK, but my last and final one in 2016 we got the badly burned pizza you see in the photo. No refund, no apology. They did offer to cook another one, but that would have made us late for the movie at the nearby Loring Hall Cinema. So I paid and left. We left the entire uneaten burned pizza on the table. Yuk.

I went with my husband and 2 children at around 7:45pm. We walk in, the hostess has her back to us so we just waited patiently. She turned around and asked if we were picking up. I said no. She said "oh, well we only have pizza", I said "great that is what we're here for!" She said "oh, well we don't have room for you" and walked off.... Awesome. Never going back because their hostess is a total witch! I'd give zero stars if I could. Sloppy!!!!

I REALLY like this place. HOWEVER, Since the Wuhan China Pandemic they have only been serving Pizza. They do have very good cooked meals. I really like there Fish and Chips@ usually sit at the Bar for great conversations with the Bar Staff and other Patrons. I sure hope thay can get back to where they were prior to the Pandemic. I would hate to loose another good Restaurant in the area. Best Regards D.K.
