Chip's

Equipped with old-school oldies playing in the background and comfy faux leather booths, Chips Restaurant was great! It was my first time out here in Hawthorne and I wanted something home style and not too filling. I ordered the Chilaquiles which comes with two eggs and beans however I subbed the beans for hash browns! The staff was kind, quick, and seemed to dote on their regulars. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it came with nice chunks of fresh strawberries on the bottom and the waiter was kind to give me a refill and occasionally ask if I needed anything and if the food was good. It definitely was, chilaquiles weren’t overly spicy and eggs were sunny side up to perfection. I’m not in Hawthorne very often but I’ll definitely be back to visit! 💛

The food is good, my girlfriend and I really liked it the first time we came. We immediately came again because of how good it was, but this time it wasn't such a great experience at all. We went in and gave our order. There were two people that were behind us in line and they somehow got their order first. Afterwards they had both finished their food and left and we were still waiting. 40 minutes had passed and we decided to just walk out. My girlfriend doesn't want to come anymore. I'm currently here again at the moment, I came alone, it's fairly empty. I came in placed my order and a couple came in after, they have been eating their food for about 10 minutes now. I just now got my food 32 minutes after. I'll give it one last time after this one.
