Iron Skillet

Hate these big box truck stops. Stopped to get a shower and bite to eat got out of the shower at 8:00 at the iron skillet by 8:05 knowing they closed at 9:00 they already had shut the gate and weren't letting any patrons in. Sad to see America and all the lazy people this way. . The way they are makes me sick. This country needs to be woken up!!!! Half will probably starve and at this point that mite be a good thing!! 🙏

Well where should i start. First of all we are driving across country and stoped at the hotel next to this truck stop and heard that the Iron Skillet had a good buffet and good home cook food. So my co driver and i went on over. We both had the buffet and we went in about 8pm but they dont close til 11pm. The food was old and dry from the mash potatoes to the corn bread. I had ordered water and my friend has a soda. The buffet is $13.99 ...... Way over priced for such little selection . did i mention all the food was dry. They also charged me $2.49 for my glass of water. I would not at all recommend this restaurant to anybody at all. Again way way over priced. The staff was very nice that's the only reason i gave a 1 star. Didn't want to try anything on the menu do to the overly priced food. After we left and walked back to the hotel i had to stop to though up. Again i will not at all recommend this place to anyone. Good luck to who ever goes here. Nasty food and way over priced. Not worth it save your money and order in

I waited here for over 35 minutes for a turf & turf to go order & never received it. I finally asked for a refund along with 3 other truck drivers that never received their meals either. I will never patronize with them again & the waitress kept her $4.00 tip for doing nothing, smh! They served one guest burned pancakes & cooks were in the kitchen refusing to cook certain meals, I gues mines was one of them. The Waffle across the street wasn’t great, but at least I was able to eat a meal, this is truly the death of American restaurants, nobody wants to work anymore, smh!!!
