Worth Fish & Chips

Stopped by with my daughters for fish and chips. Girl who took my order was more interested in flirting with 2 customers. Then our dinner arrived finally packaged for takeout when I advised eat in. Fries were cold and fish batter greasy. Would never return and definitely no recommendation from us.

I had pre-ordered by phone 30 mins in advance, and only when I had arrived and asked fro my order did they begin to make it. The Que for ordering / payment was dreadfully slow, at the rate of 3 orders over the span of 17 minutes. When we were processed for paying, the cashier had first told us that we didn't pre-order for pickup, and only at our insistence that she double check, did it reveal we had. We had spent a total of 25 minutes in the store, atop of the 30 min pre-order to get our food. The fries were under-cooked, the fish would have been excellent save for how they not allowed to sit to drain the grease. The atmosphere was disorganized, and the employees had no means of communicating. The only upside was the portioning. They gave quite a lot of (under cooked) fries per portion. All in all, they are lucky they are the only fish and chips place in the area.

Unfortunately this place is a shell of it’s former self. The new owners have absolutely no clue whatsoever about the food that they are preparing. They chose to purchase a business that’s food type does not fall within their ethnicity and abilities. Therefore they have no idea how to prepare such food. They took a long-standing successful business and threw it in the dumpster. It’s really an unfortunate situation. Do yourself a favour and don’t waste your money here. The food is absolutely pathetic.
