It was very quiet when we went there. We were the only customers at the time. The menu and service are fantastic. We tried to return there last Friday but the place was locked and there was a padlock in front of the entrance. I found this odd on a Friday night as there website shows they are opened. There was no signage to indicate a reason they were closed. I very much enjoy this spot and have for decades as it’s made it way Into this current restaurant from the other restaurants that came before it. There’s a long history in this building.

Originally decorated revealing the wooden beam structure of the initially built for Vernons Gingerale wharehouse. Beautiful architectural lighting dimly illuminating leather covered chairs and benches on original wood plank flooring. Novel place settings, good wine selections, great food . Sport bar feel with the ambience of a sophisticated pub. Great food, great staff. I'd like to come back when it's busier for a real feel. I wouldn't call it romantic but definitely cozy.Great job!

This is truly the only negative review I have ever left on a google review. Did not have a very enjoyable experience here. I should've known from when I first walked in and was not greeted by the hostess. The manager proceeded to greet me, but didn't seat me until the hostess returned. She seated me while I waited for my friend to join. Noone approached to ask if they could get me a drink in the meantime. My friend texted me to ask where I was, turns out she had been seated upstairs after I had already arrived and been seated. I wish this were the end of the disappoint. When I asked for some lemon/lime for my sparkling water, my waitress brought it back on a bar napkin and placed the napkin on the table. Never in my life have I seen someone bring lemon and lime on a napkin. The food was very average. Photo is of the "grilled cheese". Sorry to say I won't be back

We fell in love with the venue and we booked our wedding here in February 2022. I would send emails to the manager about different questions regarding capacity, covid-19 restrictions and just general wedding planning questions. The replies I received were always very short and never answered the questions I directly asked. I have still not heard a reply back in months to my last email and we have given up on the idea of hosting our wedding at this location. The wedding at this point would be less than 3 months away and we weren't even given a clear capacity limit (with or without covid restrictions). This venue and restaurant has SO much potential but sadly we had to book elsewhere as the lack of effort from the venue was too much when trying to plan an entire wedding. I have still not received an email from the venue in months.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last night. We had an absolutely excellent experience! We were made to feel so special by the service staff and management, who were top-notch. The food was delicious - good portions and fair prices. Thank you to the 33 Bowen team for going above and beyond to help us celebrate a special night. We will definitely be back!
