Just Spring Roll

Came here for lunch with family after visiting Halifax Public Garden nearby. We like the sweet and sour taste of the pad thai here. Thai curry was not too spicy which was good for us. The grilled pork sandwich was not traditional Vietnamese style but my toddler enjoyed it and he is usually picky with food so I had nothing to complain. Definitely come back with some vegetarian friends because this place offers many vegan food options like tofu curry, pad thai, fried rice, and it's right next to the movie theatre

This is a true hidden gem. They have amazing meat and vegan options which is super uncommon at this price range, they are actually affordable! The people who work there seem to be a family? They are all super nice and friendly and easy to talk to, make sure to check this place out if you get the chance!

Absolutely delicious, and it's priced competitively. (Especially for how good it is) I had tofu curry, they were out but she made it fresh. Store was open later than posted. Which I hope isn't because they aren't getting enough customers. People should eat here when in this mall! The mall has not much to offer, except this little delicious secret on the bottom floor.

I can't believe the generous portion of the $6.50 "chubby bun"! I was expecting this would be like a little round steam bun, circular and doughy with a savoury center, like a large Korean dumping (or jjim bbang); and when she asked me chicken or pork I assumed it would be a little bit of minced pork with some marinade and cut veg inside. INSTEAD she brought out this monster sandwich that is big as a Portuguese bifana! And curiously enough it is much in the same style. A porkchop steak, several veggies inside a long oval shaped bread that was slightly crunchy outside, soft and fresh inside. (It makes me wonder what I would have gotten if I had ordered the $8.50 sized larger bun? Would my car tip over like at the end of the Flintstones ? ) Very good value for the $6.50 chubby bun. Pleasantly surprised and definitely will go back.

WIsh I had known about this adorable little retro chic hole in the wall restaurant hidden away in the basement of the Park Lane Mall earlier. What a gem! They have both meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes which is great for me because it can be tough to find affordable vegan food to eat out. An, the owner is very friendly and knowledgable. I ordered the tofu curry on vermicelli noodles (pictured). It was very flavorful and delicious and also extremely well priced. I am definitely going to be a regular. (It can be hard to find, but it's next to the movie theatre entrance next to A&W)
