Love it here. Came to put in a catering order and net the manager Rob since I had a few questions. He was very nice and helped point me in the right direction. Diane in food service was also very helpful and the sweet lady in the front was gracious enough to offer me help as well. The supermarket is layed out well and very clean which I noticed right away. I ordered 3 ft heroes, penne a la vodka and a fruit platter. Everyone loves everything. Will definitely be back for future orders

This shop rite needs some major work. I would like to ask the leadership and owners when was the last you've visited the store and evaluated? It needs cleaning and updating. If you compare some of the SR's in other towns, they have updated their look a long time ago, they have better deli and bakery sections. More importantly you need to update your customer service. Sadly, this SR has staff that doesn't care. Your courtesy counter is for that- Courtesy, but nothing courteous about the staff that works there. As a shopper, I have often tried to skip them because they would give me every possible excuse not to do something. It's just become the counter where you buy cigarettes and lotto tickets. Also, the night shift doesn't care about the appearance, messy around the self check out, multiple staff members hanging out around same area, etc. Staff at the deli always has an attitude. If you are not taking training and taking care of your staff you will have staff that gives poor service and that's what you have here at SR of Hackensack.

DO NOT DO CURBSIDE PICKUP/ONLINE SHOPPING. I've waited 30+ mins, had my order forgotten and never prepared, and been told the card on file was not working but I was never called till i got there and waited 20 mins for them to figure things out. I've shopped online with them 3 times and each time there was an issue, though the pickup appointment was days in advance. Idk who's running their online department but they should be fired. ZERO supervision/method to their online processing. Save yourself the hassle and go to Sop n Shop for same-day pickup. They're amazing.

I’ve been to ShopRite about 3-4 times in the last month. Bringing your own bags can be a pain , I always have to go back out to the car because I forgot some. But when I’m trying to pack up a big order and I’ve put the bags where the cashier can easily reach them there has been NO attempt to help pack them. The person just leans against the counter and looks annoyed that I’m taking so long to do it MYSELF. I don’t know if this is the NEW TRAINING or what but it comes across as lazy. If they are afraid to touch the bags maybe they should wear gloves. The people behind me haven’t been so happy either that they have to wait till I’m done and I’m not rushing anymore.

This store needs to be torn down and re-built. The citizens of South Hackensack deserve better. I travel over to the brand new Shoprite in New Milford, on most occasions, but this one is 2 blocks from my apartment. The whole presence of this place, from the parking lot to the deli, is just NASTY! Today was the straw that broke the camels back. As a single male, I'm frequently getting things from their hot deli. $10.99/8 pc fried chicken sounded like a good idea on a Friday Night. What could go wrong? I get home, I noticed I only had 7 pieces. Ok, maybe there was a mis-count. I bite into a leg, un-cooked center. Ok, maybe there was a bad-piece. Tried the back, good. This morning, tried the breast, un-cooked center. Threw it all away. I will never go back into this store!

Love how it’s always clean, I wish they would be more on top of the recalls rather than wait for you to be a checkout for it to inform you that the item is recalled. Staff is usually friendly, usually walking around but not always found. I love how they have a decent sized Goya isle, i wish they would have a bit more things so I wouldn’t have to make so many different grocery store trips in one day... but ah least they have the options they do offer. This location has a great amount of cleaning supplies in these times that’s a huge shocker!! Totally grateful for that!!
