My absolute favorite restaurant in the area! Their cannolis (my favorite) are to die for along with their other desserts so save room! there is excellent service, All their food is delicious and fresh. The chicken dish I always get is unbelievable (in picture). The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect, and so was the service!

This was my 2nd time to Amarone, this time with my husband, and it was even better than I remembered. Assael, was the quintessential server describing all the specials in such detail that I wanted to taste all of them. I settled on the zucchini flowers stuffed with goat cheese and fried in a tempura batter over what I think was a slice of tomato (?). We LOVED them. I also had the homemade cheese ravioli with salmon, shrimp and asparagus with what tasted like a vodka sauce. I didn’t finish them because I ate too much of the house made bread, I expect, dipped in olive oil, grated cheese and balsamic vinegar. So good. My husband had the filet mignon special, topped with picked lobster, with mashed potato and fresh spinach. He told me it was the best he ever had. No room for dessert but wish I had the cheesecake with pistacchio. I had no room for dessert. It’s an hour away on the next nice warm day, we will return!

We had dinner here with a couple of friends. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The menu offers a good selection that’s bound to have something for everyone. Besides the regular menu they have specials. There’s a restaurant side and a bar side that also has tables. During the warmer months they have outdoor seating. It’s easy to get to as it’s not far from the Boston Post Rd and is across the street from the town green. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back.

Service was A-1. Our server was professional, efficient and personable. The food was very good. My French martini was excellent. Although my lobster fettuccine with Alfredo sauce was tasty for the price of $46 there wasn’t a tails worth of meat in there. A vegetable added might be a nice touch. Broccoli, spinach, asparagus tips would have added color and volume to the dish. Dinner partner’s chicken Saltimbocca was very good (no complaints.)Some shading needs to be added to the front window. Initially sat there and asked to be changed. Others sat there were visibly uncomfortable.

Very disappointed. I gushed when I saw this place. It’s been there 4 years. Charming bistro type seating out side. Lots of couples and evening drinks. The indoor was nice. Comfortable but not precious. Ample wine and liquor and a well appointed bar. The food, however, was a disappointment. It should not be. Two things: First: do NOT order the Lobster, either the bisque or the pappardelle pasta. The bisque had no lobster and tasted like it was left over from lunch, from the bottom of the urn and heated up … a little. A hint of lobster flavor … maybe. The pasta had lobster that was tired, old, fishy and stringy (the worst) and made the whole dish taste fishy. Second, we ordered food early for dinner (4:30) my guess was that this WAS actually held over from lunch. Had we ordered it at 7:00pm, we may have had a different experience. The menu looks great but the rest of our meal was average. I ordered bolognese, my fave (pronounced oregano flavor, not a lot of sauce and quite heavy on the meat. Roasted vegetable appetizer was very good. Crisp and not over toasted. Doubt we’ll be back. A big let down on a special day for us and we were quite disappointed.

Service was attentive and the cocktails were fine but unfortunately this was some of the most bland and forgettable food I've had in a long while. The linguine with clams was served in the thinnest sauce I've ever seen - it would be more realistic to call it a broth, because these clams were swimming. Practically none of it clung to the pasta, so what you're really getting is slippery, vaguely flavored noodles. Another one in our party ordered the eggplant panini, which was almost comically underseasoned. For these prices, they really need to make some improvements in the kitchen.

Fantastic food. These fries are now the fries to which I will compare all future fries. Crispy, flavorful, soft and airy on the inside. In a word, perfect. The steak was also fantastic, as was my wife's. The spinach was amazing as well. If you're in the area, try it. Definitely worth it.

The best Italian I've had since being in Italy. Cozy and upscale, yet a comfortable setting in quaint downtown Guilford. The service was amazing, and the wine list was excellent.
