Guildford General Store

Fantastic food and atmosphere at this lovely historic store.Bit of a shame they closed10am on Sunday during a long weekend!!! We just got a coffee in time!! But we stayed around outside for an hour to watch the cycle race going through and counted 31 customers over the hour who dropped in but couldn't buy anything!!!! Silly business management and unfair to local community. Very disappointing.

This review is a response to Beverley's one star review. Beverley, you absolute nonce. Grow up, nobody owes you anything. You seem like a bitter unpleasant person who is negative about everything in your life. I have never met you but I can tell that you have never worked in hospitality and any place you frequent, the staff all groan when they see you coming. Try taking a break from viewing the world as revolving around you, and take some time to find peace. You owe it to yourself. Your review is pure mid. Get a wifi dongle. Look in the mirror and try smiling. The rest of this review is for the store itself. Love this place, great service, great vibe, great building, love the outdoor seating (best in the shire), love the locals.

On the occasional Wednesday lunchtime I'll go... we're near Guildford. It's time. The holy grail of lunches awaits me in that quaint little general store. Guildford itself isn't much to write home about and you could drive past this store and I'd passively call you foolish. We go in. "Sausage roll and a chai latte please". This is all you need, interchangeable beverage. This sausage roll could have it's own suburb and it'd be the best suburb in the area. This sausage roll is the benchmark we put other sausage rolls subconsciously. "Eh it's alright, but it's not a Guildford sausage roll." It's herby, hot, huge, reasonably priced. Yes, and the chai lattes are banging too.
