Nice little place, unpretentious and really tasty food at a reasonable price. The service is a little hit & miss but polite servers and staff. Lost a star for me just because of the toilets. The gents smelled strongly of urine and was quite tatty compared to the restaurant and I believe the ladies were no better. Just needs a little TLC and attention to detail for the last star but definitely recommend as the food and ambience is good

The only place in town we came across that served haggis with neeps and tatties. Lucky for us it was also a great place to have some haggis cause it was killer. The staff was also quite lovely, when we were about done he comes over with a shot of scotch. Some serious hospitality. An unbelievable bonus was when I asked what beer they had on tap and found they had Tennents, my favorite Scottish beer. What a good day for me. I also made a new best friend, Holly. She kept my seat warm when I went to the bathroom.

Booked last week and was a bit disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant (when available). There was only two of us and we were served our mains 10 mins apart. The food was really nice but the dog roaming around was rather off putting, especially when it jumped up beside us and wasn't moved.(very poor).We did have a bit knocked off the bill but didn't really help with a first visit impression.

Food was great, service was terrible. 80 minutes for our mains. Had to go looking for waiting staff for a second round of drinks and an update on food ETA. Three staff in kitchen, one of whom spent our whole visit on her phone so not exactly busy. No apology over time taken to feed us. A shame because the food is good but the service ruined our meal.
