Cafe 1947

I am fairly surprised at some of the negative reviews. Being from out of town it took me awhile to find this place but since i have me and my coworker haven’t ate anywhere else . The pulled pork house BBQ sandwich is phenomenal. The trout and salmon are also very good choices. Our waitresses have always been very quick to seat and take our orders . Don’t expect fast food times because that’s not what this place is. It’s a nice escape for a sit down meal experience in a fast food town. PS . Don’t forget to try a hot fudge brownie .

I got there just in time to grab some food. They close at 3:00 pm. I got the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was delicious! The fries were just the right amount of crispy to them. Along with sandwich and the apple butter barbecue left a clean plate. The waitress was awesome! Will be back!

Very friendly staff and very convenient to the Valley Breeze campground. We had breakfast here and it was good French Toast and bacon for me and an omelet with hash browns for my husband. They also have baked goods cooked on site. This place can be easily I overlooked as there is not enough signage. But for an inexpensive meal we would highly recommend.

I've tried this place 4 times now because I try so hard to support new business. The food today was great. I deleted the first review I had put because they had just opened and think I reviewed it in a bad manner which wasn't my intentions. The two in between the first and today I'm not going to comment on but today was really good. The rolls are great and we had the fried steak with some amazing twice baked potatoes. Service was quick and friendly and prices are great. The level of professionalism on answering these reviews is very low I must say. Such a quick way to make a prospective customer change their mind. A suggestion as ur looking for ways to improve would be to inform people as they re getting their menu of what you are out of. Also if you do serve specials maybe don't microwave to reheat but maybe find a way to keep warm so it tastes fresh. Once you microwave a croissant and pork then that meal is done for. Seems to be be coming together nicely and I hope it does amazing.

Very good, we had Rt. 66 burger, Ky grown & processed beef, fries, side salad. All was fresh, homemade dressing,( french&ranch), delicious. Waitress was helpful, friendly, restuarant was clean. My only regret was I didn't have room for their homemade desserts. Next time I think maybe dessert only. Lol

I just drove 2.5 hours and was happy to have a seat outside of the car. My family and I enjoyed everything about this dining experience. I had the Cubano and fries, and that pulled pork was AMAZING! Son had the Philly and that meat was tender and delicious. Wife had the 2 hot dog special with fries and that housemate sauce was spectacular. Thank you Cafe 1947 for making food and having service worth driving 2.5 hours for!
