What a lovely afternoon spent here with one of my friends! We were welcomed on arrival (great touch) and received lovely service from the female member of staff in today! We got a round of coffee, myself a large white wine, 2 mains which included the cheeseburger & thick cut chips, the fillet steak surf & turf along with a side of (gigantic) onion rings. The only criticism would be that the onion rings were probably TOO big lol.
The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful - by far my favourite Bar Luga setting out of the 3 I’ve visited many times. It is slightly more pricey than other choices on gosforth high street but it’s a much nicer setting inside in my opinion.
We received fantastic service along with 2 plates of amazing food - what more can you ask for! Other than maybe some decent music playing to create a bit more atmosphere.
Highly recommend and will most definitely return

Wow what an amazing Sunday lunch. The food is second to none. From the minute you step into the Barluga the service is amazing. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food is excellent and the potion size is fantastic. Really looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work it's greatly appreciated.

Beautiful place. Our son lives in Newcastle and we were visiting him, he'd wanted to try here for a while. Not the biggest menu going, but the quality of the food was excellent. I got the burger, which was big and tasty, my wife got the Sea Bass, which was fabulous, my son got the mushroom Wellington and his partner the feathered beef, both excellent meals. The staff were very attentive and efficient too. Overall we had a lovely night.

Absolutely incredible evening for some post work drinks. Our food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were top notch. Special shoutout to Sam who was the friendliest and loveliest waiter we've met for a long time. Really made our night! Would come back just because of his wonderful service ♥️

I had a lovely afternoon in Bar Luga in Gosforth with my friend on Friday 22nd December. The food was lovely but what made the experience extra special was the attention we were given by our lovely waitress Hannah. What a lovely girl! Hannah clearly loves her job and is so genuine and friendly in her approach. She made us feel like she was interested in chatting to us. We certainly received service with a smile. She is an asset and should be very proud of herself! We will definitely be returning! Merry Christmas and thank you Hannah 🎄❤️

I arranged for a booking of about 20 of our keep fit ladies class who enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Barluga. Everyone loved the atmosphere and the wonderful staff who were on duty.The majority of the ladies were over 80.years Old and were delighted with their Christmas lunch

Our 4th time visiting, always get lovely service by Anna. Building is gorgeous, perfect for both Sunday lunch and special anniversary dates alike. Will be going back soon for a roast as it was incredible last time.
