The Clock Tower

Stayed in the top apartment of the clock tower for a short trip to the city recently. Very reasonably priced and perfectly located within a short walking distance of pubs/shops/supermarkets and a short walk to the centre. Apartment was clean and definitely worth the money. Perfect for couples or an older family.

Popped in while visiting at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Nice open layout. Service was good + friendly. Had a bowl of lentil soup for £2.50, so reasonable price.The portion size was good and it was tasty. Only thing was I wasn't offered bread to go with it. Had a nice array of cakes for my sweet tooth but I managed to resist.

The staff are friendly and will help you when you ask what prices things are as some on the board are missing and there's none on the produce. The food looks good but it's rather pricey if you don't go for a meal deal. Cans of juice are 99p and a small glass bottle was more than £2.75. Where as a baguette was £3.95 and a soup was £2.50 but as part of a deal it was £5 saving £1.45.

I had to find accommodation at short notice and near the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, so glad I discovered the Clock Tower and Cathedral Apartments, the apartment had everything I needed and was a lovely home from home, clean very well equipped, could not have been closer to where I needed to be, just off the M8, easy to find with either free parking across the road from 6pm til 8 am or multi storey pay as you go next door. Very near to city centre and quite a pleasant walk. The food and service in the Clock Tower was superb too with ample choice. Overall i thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back.
