Subway

I've been to this place dozens of times over the years, and I have never… NEVER… gotten a bad sandwich. They always take the time and effort to make your sandwich just how you want it, and they always make sure you're absolutely certain about your selections before moving on to the next part of assembly. And of course, the prices are perfect! I miss the Five-Dollar Foot-Long™, sure, but six bucks for my preferred sandwich (the Spicy Italian) isn't bad! The people are always really great and there's only been one time that I've ever had a bad interaction with someone, there. Otherwise, they're as friendly as you are and always open to a small amount of chit-chat during slow hours. (I usually go in during the early morning.) It's worth mentioning, they recently renovated this specific Subway. It used to look like a 2000s Subway sandwich shop, but now it looks completely up-to-date with all the other chain shops I've seen. And honestly? I'm kind of digging it. The atmosphere was never bad, but with the new lighting and the lighter colors, it somehow feels even more cheery than before! If you happen to be cruisin' on US Route 2 in the Upper Peninsula, heading to Escanaba or Rapid River, and you want a delicious sandwich done right by friendly, attentive people, this Subway is the place to go!
