Ascension

The coffee tasted legit. I wasn't expecting such robust espresso. The atmosphere was pretty cool. I will say that we were confused why we were given a table number when we had to get our coffee ourselves. We watched the next 5 customers go through the same confusion. The table marker makes it seem like it will be brought to you. Nevertheless, yummy chai and horchata latte!

I was looking for a little light breakfast that morning and wandered inside. The space has a nice lay out, and fits right in to the fast-casual experience for the area. I settled on a yogurt granola combination and as described on the menu looked forward to a night light meal to take the edfe off. The picture shows the dish AFTER I sent it back. They were asking a ridiculous amount for maybe 4 tablespoon fuls of yogurt with granola and fruit tossed on top. My server, or the one who stopped by to ask if everything was alright, was gracious enough to listen to me, and then do something about my concern. The dish he brought back had a much morr reasonable portion for the price they were asking. I caught a glance at other folks' meal and was not able to get a good idea of it. I imagine that lunch here is a better balance between what you get and how much you pay.

The staff, good, and vibes are nice here. I like the fact that you can immediately sit down, order your food and drinks, and it arrives whenever it’s done. Oh, by the way, the mimosas are great, and if you’re really feeling the opposite of mimosas, grab a nice coffee. The people here are pretty cool, too. I go here a few times a month and this place never fails.

I don't generally have bad things to say about coffee place but here's the thing that I did not like about Ascension Coffee! We reached there about 4 pm this afternoon and ordered two cappuccinos! At 4:15 they gave us coffee in paper cups when everyone around us were drinking in normal cups! When we asked them, they said it's because they are closing at 5pm! Really! Paper Cups!! We were seated! Good thing is to compensate they did give us a coupon after we complained! Coffee was good though.

This is my typical “go to” spot in the mornings when I don’t have breakfast in the mornings. It has excellent food and great beverages. On one rushed morning, I ordered through the app, picked up my order, and took it to work. There were missing pieces to the order and I called to let them know. Melissa not only was kind and empathetic but she quickly fixed the issue and went out of her way to remake it for me the following day. The customer service is incredible and Melissa had excellent and professional attention to detail.
