Our food was delicious. My husband had fried shrimp and I had the fried pork chop and it was huge. We left very full. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive.

I ordered a burger that was delicious. The fried mushrooms were fresh and hot, the sweet tea, cold and sweet. The service was good too for a small place. I love local.

Chicken was OK, Rice and Gravy seemed burnt on this day but the green beans and new potatoes were good. Very quaint place and excellent service with southern hospitality and a fair price. Local and been there a very long time, I'd give em a try.

I went for breakfast but they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30. I ended up having lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how great the burger was. Good service and a great local atmosphere.

2/9/2022 chg my review because this morning breakfast was so delicious! And not only was our waitress helpful and friendly but she also had a beautiful voice and was singing songs off and on as she worked which made it even more delightful and the biscuits were the best I've ever had!

Hubby and I stopped here on a whim for lunch. Lunch special was over but they made up some fresh fried chicken and it was delicious! Quick service and small hometown charm!! Definitely check it out!

The staff at freeport Café were extremely kind. Our order was ready within a reasonable time and, as you can see for yourself, the burgers were massive, as well as delicious. I have heard bad rumors about this place pertaining to the quality of their food, but I bit the bullet and decided to try it out for myself and I am glad I did. Not only was it delicious, the portions size was way more than a grown man could handle, so much so that I had plenty for lunch the following day.

It's been a few years but as a Southerner now living in New York I loved visiting this spot when making the trip between Tallahassee and Pensacola and checking in on some family property we have off HWY20. It is rare treat and often an expensive proposition to get authentic southern fried food in the far north. Not so at Freeport Cafe. When I was there I had to get a mullet plate as that's what my father always ate.
