The Blue Side

Great Happy Hour! They have a terrible website, and not nearly enough tables, but the food is amazing and you can't beat the happy hour (1/2 price apps until 7pm!) It's a fun space too. We had the nachos, crab dip, wings, poutine, empanadas, ham biscuits, and fried green beans. All delicious except the green beans. There was way to much batter, but the accompanying dipping sauce was great.

Very nice atmosphere and very spacey. But good luck getting a drink at the bar. Waited 5 minutes each time. The bar only has one register, so the bartenders are walking long distances back and forth. Also they don't pay attention to who has been waiting the longest, they just serve the person next to the person they just served. I'm sure they are fine on slow nights, but they definitely cannot keep up when there is live entertainment.

Celebrated my birthday here on Saturday with friends. Bar tenders were awesome, attentive, and though busy really good and quick. It was pretty busy at least in my opinion but not uncomfortable busy which is the main reason I chose here because of word of mouth. Really awesome back deck looking over the creek, easy walk from parking deck, and close to nearby home so convenient to us that walked home. We were able to get a few tables with a good amount of chairs upon arrival, waitress services ended close to 9 but we were understanding of this. Especially liked the bluegrass band that was playing, for which we paid a reasonable cover charge to get in. The place was clean, the people were friendly, it was spacious. I was very pleased.

I hosted a work event at Blue Side Tavern and it was perfect. I coordinated seamlessly with the owner via email and he was more than accomodating to our needs. We had about 35 people in our party. We had our own secluded area ready for us when we arrived. The service was top notch and the food was exceptional as always. I look forward to hosting a similar event in the near future. Highly recommend this establishment.
