Ihop

We were here 8 days ago and it was great, but today was awful. We were seated immediately, and the iced tea was good. That's the good points. The Coke that my wife got was so weak it looked like very weak ginger ale. The waitress said it had been like that since she came to work. I asked if she'd said anything to anyone that could change the syrup, and got a noise & shoulder shrug in reply. We waited 32 minutes after we ordered before we left. While we were waiting we realized we didn't have napkins and flatware. That's not a good sign. Then people at another table complained about cold food and had to go hunting for ketchup on other tables. After the 32 minutes of waiting without being checked on we decided not to chance the food. I asked an employee for a manager before we left. While waiting for the manager I noticed all of this food not going out to tables. The manager was too busy to come speak to us, so we walked out. Now we're trying the other IHOP in town. They're off to a much better start.

Got there at about 11:30 on a weekday and was surprised that IHOP was almost empty. One employee was sitting on the bench using her phone, another was waiting on a table and another seemed to just be walking around. Although they clearly saw us, no one greeted or even acknowledged that we were there. I didn't want to leave because my granddaughter and I were really in the mood for breakfast, but after 10 minutes we left and went to Waffle House. You can have good and bad service anywhere, and normally I'd assume that it was just a bad day. But the fact that the place was 90 percent empty, seemed like a good indicator that this was probably typical for this particular shop.

This location needs to throw in the towel and close up. The service has steadily declined to almost nothing. The food in years past was excellent. Now its burnt breakfast meats with cold eggs cold hard toast. I'm not sure where the problems begin in this restaurant, but something needs to change. I feel like this place is hanging on by a thread.

Gaby was excellent as our waitress. I (Grandpa) was there with our young adult daughter & her 5 children, ages 1, 4, 6, 9, 11. Gaby was professional, friendly, accurate, helpful and proficient. And this was when she was busy, because it was National Pancake Day with each customer getting a free short stack if desired.

Liked the food and the environment. It was crowded and we had to wait for 10-15 minutes to be seated. They were understaffed for that many customers in my opinion. The servers were nice and fast, but they couldn't manage. Many tables were waiting to be cleaned, while there were customers waiting outside. After finding a table, I had to wait more than 10 minutes for a glass of water, and more than 30 minutes for my meal. I guess this means that they are good enough to attract this many customers! We had an omelet, sunny side up eggs, sausages and pancakes, and they were all good.
