We came here for a Sunday lunch and even though we didn't book and it was very busy, the staff still managed to find us a table! The chorizo scotch egg was so delicious. 100% getting that again. We then went for the Pie of the Day which was beef and gravy. It came with mash by default but they managed to change one of the mash sides for a side of sweet potato fries, which was delish! Definitely coming back again!

Fantastic Pub with amazing staff and the food was just superb. Their gluten free options were incredible and the cider was even better. Thanks so much!

Appropriately CAMRA recommended pub. Sure there's nothing better in Forest Row and probably worth the trip down from East Grinstead

Good service, generous portion Sunday half chicken. Had to ask for more veg though, bizarrely it's brought out separate for sharing. A couple of vegan options which is good, my wife actually had a choice today!

Stopped off for lunch on our way back to Eastbourne from a family wedding in London. First visit and won't be our last as food was absolutely fantastic and good beer and wine. Definately go back next time when we are in the area.

Lovely hotel. Food was quite nice with friendly staff. The only drawback to the room for me was the lack of a comfortable chair to sit in. Good location in town.

Stopped by for a quick bite and ordered three starters. Dishes were on the pricey side but not outrageously so. They were nicely plated and made from fresh produce. Everything tastes great and I will come by again if I am in the area.

Lovely friendly place, quirky rooms, good service and great food, only criticism that the tea with breakfast was lukewarm. Reminder that the kitchen closes at 6pm on a Sunday, so if you arrive late, you need to find somewhere else to eat.

Wow, I’m not sure if there is a new chef but something has happened, we’ve always enjoyed the food at the Swan but our Sunday lunch today was another level. Hubby and I had the roast beef, the meat was beautiful, still some pink parts of the meat, impressive Yorkshire pudding and the potatoes… and the veggies, the gravy, all were utter perfection and we were wowed! To be honest, I was tempted to stop there as it was so good but we decided to share a dark chocolate and caramel mousse. Well I don’t know what to say other than it was insanely good, I expect a dessert like that from a fancy tea room in a cafe in Paris, not in our very own Forest Row! Wow- that stunning dessert is going to stay in my mind for quite some time! All this and fantastic, friendly serving and bar staff. What a delight- utterly thrilled with our experience- thank you all!

One of the best roasts I’ve ever had. There’s nothing to complain about here, I’d highly recommend. All food, starters, mains, desserts are amazing and the service is brilliant as well. The only issue is the small car park, but it helped me burn off some of the calories after dinner parking down the road! Definitely worth a visit, been excellent both times I’ve been recently.

Me and my daughter went for Lunch and it was delicious. We ordered the steak sandwich and chips. It was exceptional value for money. The staff were all super friendly and couldn't do enough for us especially our waitress Kim. I would highly recommend and return.

My husband and I had lunch here on Saturday. The location very easy to find as it’s in the center of town. We tried to find place for lunch which is easy to park, so when we stick at round about, we saw The Swan on the other side of the road and decide to have lunch there. During the pandemic, the staff ask us to write our details. It’s good. We happy to know that this place follow the health protocol and support government to monitoring the spread of covid-19 There are few corner with hand sanitation. The cutleries already packed as we normally have meal on the flight. The staff also very friendly. I saw there is back garden which is nice area for those who come with dogs. Its nice area. The portion of marinated olive is big, so make sure you share it if you decide to order it. As well the pork crackling, it has medium portion. I think for nibbling will enough for 2-3 ppl. The pies is delicious. And fish and chip also good. I asked the staff to change my mash peas with seasonal vegetable (without extra cost) the chunky chips just perfect. They also help and give me box to take away my left over food. Fish and chips and the pork crackling portion are too big for me 😁😁. It such a waste if i didnt bring it home. We will come back next time to try sunday roast dinner.
