Ihop

The IHOP here in Flagstaff off of S Beulah is ok, nothing special. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The oj I ordered was brought out quickly and had my menu when seated. The only problem was the food. The scrambled eggs were ok and tasted like eggs. The hash browns were mushy in the middle and to thick. The outside was cooked beautifully but the inside ruined it. The bacon was a little to crispy for me but good. The sourdough was crispy hard but not overly toasted. A decent meal but not the best.

My friend ordered the cowboy barbecue. Needless to say, given the picture, our experience was not stellar. His burger was overwhelmingly undercooked, had a hair in it, and his "hot" chocolate was cold and lumpy. Our waitress seemed as if she didnt want to be here, and her service was mediocre at best. This was undoubtedly the worst IHOP experience I've ever had.

We stopped here after a fun weekend in Flagstaff on our way home. We had 5 adults and 3 kids, so 8 total people. We put in our name and waited close to an hour before I went in to check if they had missed our name (the lobby was packed so we had to wait outside). They said they called us, but apparently all 5 adults missed it. After being seated we had to wait 15 minutes until somebody took our drink order. We got the feeling the person serving us wasn't even doing our section, but noticed how long we had been waiting and stepped up. Once the food was served, we complained that an appetizer we had ordered to come out before the food was missed and an omelet that one of us order was made completely wrong. Afterwards it was like pulling teeth to get the waiter's attention to get our friends order corrected and it took the kitchen so long to replace his food everyone else was done eating so there was no point in getting it. After everything the manager eventually comped 1/2 the meal, but the service was so bad I will never go back. One of us, who worked as a server, was appalled, claiming she could have served the whole restaurant herself, since the IHOP was at half capacity due to covid.

We had a really good experience at this IHOP location. Our waitress was an enthusiastic young girl - always happy to help (I wish had remembered her name!). We ordered roasted turkey and a steak with mashed potatoes. It was delicious, the only thing I would change is the way it was arranged on the plate: it was not arranged in a particularly appetizing way. All in all we were satisfied with our dinner.

I have been to this IHOP several times passing through Flagstaff, but this time was the best. All of the staff were very attentive and the food was great. Perhaps what made this experience so over the top was out waiter. Fabian, was attentive, funny and just a a great person to interact with. Corporate needs to use him as the waitstaff trainer. I cant remember the last time I had such a good waiter or waitress. Great job Fabian, keep up the great work and good luck in school and after. (PS I HOP, give this guy a raise, he deserves it.)

IHOP is a standard when looking for a breakfast that is fast & tasty. This restaurant is no different, being clean with excellent waitstaff. The reason for a 4 star rating is due to the incredible shrinking size of their Pancakes in all of the dishes prepared over the last year. Quality is not the problem, but quantity is...
