Wait person/ bartender was nice. Stated we had not been here for a long time. Took our order and it literally took us over 30 minutes to get 2 burgers and fries and there was only 2 other people in the bar. After we ordered 1 couple and 1 family of 3 came in and they received their food before us. Waitress knew we were a tad irritated but we figured If food was good we would be fine.. Nope, burgers overdone, tater tots overdone. Fries were the best thing we had. Needless to say we will not be back again for a long, long time if ever again. Very disappointed!

Don't walk, run away from this place. Find anywhere else to eat or drink. Ordered jalapeño bites, after 25 minutes asked if ok with hot bites because the bag was missing label. Said Ok. Came out as cheddar bites. How! Can u not know what u are serving?? They where freezer burnt, and over cooked. Table next to us ordered baked spaghetti...both where sent back because the centers were still frozen. Ordered a tall drink, they put a half shot in a tall glass, after serving 8 locals after taking our order, forgot our drink order after standing and flagging down waitress and asking again for drink got it 20 minutes later...and there were only 25 people in the bar. In a word....aweful!

I stopped for a drink and burger after checking on our Lake Mazaska cabin on the afternoon of October 8. I gave the waitress a $20 for my drink and stacked two other $20s for etabs in a separate pile on the bar. The waitress took the three $20 bills and brought back my change for the drink and told me I only gave her one $20 for etabs not 40 and began to argue with me in front of the bar patrons saying her till would be short. She “lost” the second 20 on her way from me to the till????? I work in law enforcement and have been coming to this bar on and off for almost 12 years and have never ever been called a liar. I certainly was not going to cheat her and even the patron next to me vouched for the $60 he saw on the bar in two piles and she blew him off. I just want mgmt to know that’s how I was treated. I sat at the bar in front of the Sasquatch sign I actually donated to the bar. Needless to say, I never ordered a burger and will take a photo of my money on the bar and watch her carefully the next time!

I figured everyone would turn and look when we walked in, but no! They were totally nice! They have Bison and Elk burgers (and beef or turkey, obvs), so give one a try! Prices are good. Certainly an older place, and they have really cool bar antiques to show for it. I hear the owner trained with some fancy wildlife chef in Minneapolis? Normally I am too cool for anything not hand-pattied, but somehow the regular hamburger was really good anyway. Overall, way better than I expected. Try them out!
