Subway

This is a really good Subway location. There are usually only two people working at a time when I go--but they are usually working really fast to get the customers in and out. The only problem that slows up the line is the customers that come in here (at least every time I come) that are always staring at the menu when it is there turn--hello SuBWAY IS the same everywhere! Anyways the staff is always friendly and working very fast. They even informed me at check out that they have free VIP rewards Member card-- whenever you buy a six inch sub you get punch on your card and on the 9th sub it is free(with the purchase of a 30 ounce drink). Pretty cool deal-- most places don't offer rewards for loyal members. The only thing wrong, was I went to this location one day at like 2pm feening for Subway cookies and I purchased two. When I got home I realized my cookies were hard as a rock! It really sucked but I didn't feel like driving back--hopefully this isn't an everyday thing. Was this review …?

I come to this location regularly because it's near my job, but since my first visit the food and service were always impeccable. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is very friendly and obliging and the food is always good. I sometimes come to this location over more convenient locations because I've had experiences with either rude staff, poorly prepared sandwiches or both. If you like Subway, come to this location.

For all fellas, who love fresh, crispy veggie salads & sandwiches made with fresh bread and filled with no artificial flavors in chicken & tuna, then Subway of Fairfax city is your true way. Choose sauces and fillings of your choice & get over your hunger pains. Plus, a different 6" sub every day of the week for only $3.50 is a thing of beauty.

A new guy, very skinny and kind of middle-eastern-looking (describing since I didn't get his name) was making my sandwich and as he cut, repeatedly he had the loose-fitting plastic glove cut under the knife with the food since the finger portion was hanging off/outward. So I have to check my sandwich in case there's a piece of plastic in it. Other issue was they were closing soon and I TOLD them that both me and my friend would be ordering. I placed my own order, not knowing what he wanted. He arrived seconds before another patron arrived. He was in line but no one tried to take his order (3 men/employees were behind the counter, 1 was dressed in street clothing not uniform) but magically as soon as the older white woman walked up a guy said "YES, ma'am". Maybe no harm was meant but I have experienced being completely ignored and passed over as if utterly invisible when in line at Panera Bread, and other places (some people assume I speak Spanish, some call me black, but I'm just American and my family only speaks English). My friend was an asian-american male. I said why would she go first, HE was next in line. And they were like "Oh". Little FYI some pieces of food looked old eg. transparent and flimsy tomatoes. Probably because of the hour. Service was otherwise good/friendly. Still, I wouldn't go again. Staff felt a bit too incompetent.
