Ihop

Came up from Baltimore and thought we would grab a quick bite before church services. The wait staff is friendly enough, but the utensils were dirty and we needed to ask for boiling water to soak them. It was also very dirty, as can be seen from the picture. Please clean the area otherwise service was okay, good was basically as expected. The pancakes were a little thick and dry.

Our waitress, Nancy, is the only good thing in this place. Temperature inside was 80, I was allowed to wait for 5 minutes in their closed waiting room before I was told I needed a mask to walk 12 steps to my table, wife's food was short and what she did get was overcooked. The waitress had to get a menu to prove to the cook that he was wrong.. My food was tasty, and the portion was correct.

The food is good and at very reasonable prices. The offer gluten free options, including pancakes and waffles. My first visit I was informed they offer non dairy milk, almond only, but they were out. My second visit, they said they do not have a non dairy option. They are open seven days a week and have plenty of parking. Takeout and delivery is available. Please be advised this is not a 24-hr location, closing each night at 8PM.

Well where to start? This might have been one of the worst dinners out I have ever had. To start ordered a diet coke with a slice of lemon. It came out 3/4 full with a brown lemon and then the soda was flat. Should have known then. My wife ordered breakfast for dinner, and I ordered the t-bone dinner, that according to the menu comes with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I ordered a side salad with French dressing as well. When the waiter brought the food I ended up with French fries instead of broccoli and mashed potatoes and a bowl of lettuce with shredded cheese no dressing no croutons just lettuce and cheese. When I asked about the ff instead of the broccoli and mashed potatoes, he told me because I added a salad I get ff. We asked to get some ketchup, butter and the French dressing for the salad, and he came back with a tiny cup of ketchup and balsamic dressing and told me that was the only dressing choice. And let me add the service itself was non-existent. Needless to say I will never be back.

My husband and I came here for a Valentine's Day brunch, but we were disappointed with our experience. Our waitress came to the table and didn't introduce herself or greet us - she simply asked what we wanted to drink and then left. We were a little surprised to say the least - a "Hi, how are you?" would've been nice especially on Valentine's Day! But she wasn't rude either so I guess that's fair. We ordered our food but unfortunately it wasn't to standard. My husband's eggs were completely scorched on the bottom side and the bacon was very tough - literally like eating beef jerky. Our buttermilk pancakes were a little on the cold side but otherwise good. Our waitress didn't really check on us or ask about refills or anything. We were out of Pepsi about half-way through. When we got the check, we gave the waitress a gift card along with a $5 off coupon card - she returned to our table with our receipt, handed us the $5 coupon card and said "I didn't know what this was so I didn't use it." We explained that it was a coupon for $5 off and that we were hoping to use it along with the gift card. She said "Oh, well I just didn't know what it was but I can redo your check." We told her not to worry about it because at that point we were ready to leave. As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry, a reply like that just isn't acceptable. If you're not sure what something is just ask, or better yet, reach out to your supervisor/manager. Overall, the service left a lot to be desired and we weren't impressed with the quality of the food either. So sad because we love IHOP! Hopefully next time will be better.
