Ask Italian

I visited ASK 2 weeks ago with my mum, brother and his partner. They have a great selection of drinks, from wine to cocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks. The food was absolutely amazing, we had the sharing platters to start with followed by pasta for mains. It was so tasty and we didn't have to wait long at all. We had coffee to finish, it was slightly bitter but was okay, this was the only disappointing thing. The portion sizes are generous and at such reasonable price. I am a student so I had further discount using my UNI Days app so the whole meal was such a good price for all of us! The service was absolutely fantastic, we had a hilarious waiter who was extremely attentive, the music was very loud when we arrived and we asked for it to be turned down and it was, with no fuss at all. I am so pleased we have found this place, we will be coming back!

The food was lovely but it took an hour for our starter, and then another hour for mains and desert! We were offered one drink when we first arrived and when we ordered another it never came. The staff were nice when they came to the table but just walked past us when waiting to order or finished a course. It’s a shame as it is a lovely setting but we won’t be going back, and wouldn’t recommend.

My girlfriend and I had a meal here for lunch in December. The waiting staff were nice and friendly, found us a table, took our order etc and I was very impressed by how helpful they were. Really made a difference to the meal. The food was also surprisingly good for a chain restaurant. We had the mushroom starter to share, then two pizzas which we also shared - plenty of food for two but no room for dessert! We are both flexitarian so went for the veg options, and there was plenty of flavour in everything we ate. Overall a lovely experience and enjoyed ourselves. Thanks a lot to all the staff who work there :)

Wow! Is it just me? Many good reviews, but I found the food very expensive and nothing special. Mushy peas pizza - sorry 'green pizza' tasteless bland food at very high prices. Bland elavator music continuaully in the background just detracting from what could have been a great dinning experience. This said - the service was excellent! So, in summary, high priced bland food in a great location with great table service.
