Burger Bench

I went to this place because they were supposedly the best burgers in Escondido. I will say they were delicious. Good sized, well put together and overall very satisfying. I will say that I am knocking one star off because for two burgers, one side of aioli tots(the BEST part of my meal) and a s'mores shake(the second best part of my meal, different and so incredibly tasty) it was $43!!!! The burgers were good but not $42 good IMO. $30, yes. Will definitely be back for the tots and the shakes and next time I will plan accordingly and split a burger with my date!

We went to Potato Chip Rock and stopped here for lunch on the way back home. I saw this place on YouTube and wanted to check it out. Forget about calorie deficit. This is a treat after hiking! I am not a big fan of burgers, but Bench burger was good, and a lot of ingredients are locally sourced. It seems like a very popular place in this small town.

Yummo! Best burger place we have been to in a long time. Located in the heart of downtown Escondido were you have little shops, art galleries, coffee shop, etc. to peruse before or after you eat. The bun were sooo soft and light. It was biting into a cloud. The burger was juicy and full of flavor and the parm fries... Oh my goodness so good paired with the garlic aioli dipping sauce. This will be where we are going for our burger cravings.

Burgers were great, especially the chorizo. Chicken nuggets from the kids menu weren't great. The chicken sandwich (Rooster something) with the sliced apple and slaw on it was great. The natural Stubborn soda instead of the traditional brands was unique. Bare bones decor. Order at counter and then sit and food is brought to you. Truffle fries were fab. Onion rings had great flavor but were not as crispy on the outside as I'd like. Tater tots were extra crunchy. Blueberry lemonade was great!

Burger wasn't to bad, left a little bit to be desired. Those tots and house ranch were on point though 👌 Beer selection was decently well rounded, something for everyone. Serving staff was great, Polite, helpful, and engaging. The establishment was busy but everything still came out at a great pace. I'd come back again and try a few different style of burgers to see what else they got.
