We pleasantly found this place on our trip to Ennis. We were looking for a fresh baked sweet... we found there lemon 🍋 tart, and Oreo cream puffs! They were both heavenly!! The prime rib they had in the oven smelt so good we decided to come back for dinner! We were not disappointed with the fresh made lobster 🦞 ravioli with bitter cream sauce, and prime rib! Wonderful family owned American 🇺🇸 business!! We loved it!!

There are not a huge amount of choices in Ennis, so we were happy to find this gem. The service was great. Reasonably priced also. We have been in the area for a month and had had our fill of steak and burgers. LOL We wanted Italian. Went to Big Sky and were very disappointed. Came to Tavern 287 and had amazing spaghetti and meatballs (see pic). Most items are made in house. It shows. The sauce was incredible. I wish there had been more of it. It was a little light compared to the amount of noodles. Meatballs were tasty, but not all sausage, as is often the case. I’m not a fan of a ball of sausage. Macaroons at the end were a nice treat. Perfect. No alcohol served here, but it’s conveniently available through the door at the establishment next door for you to drink with your dinner. We will definitely return before we leave town.

We had a wonderful experience here-the bread and butter, pheasant rangoons and baked Brie were SO GOOD. The baked Brie was seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. We also had the all you can eat fish fry that they offer on fridays! Our server was super attentive and friendly and we had a wonderful experience.
